10:30am Sunday Service: What is to Love About a Slog?

There are things worth slogging through and slogging for. Where might a slow approach be of benefit? And what experience do you bring of a slow process being enjoyable?

Speaker: Rev. Lane-Mairead Campbell

Masking in the First Universalist church building is now optional, please respect any distancing requests by fellow attendees. A mask-required section of the sanctuary is designated for those preferring to stay masked.

Upcoming Events &
Additional Announcements

Tuesday, Mar. 7 | Drop-In Discussion: Meditation Your Way

Let's talk about trying or wanting to try meditation, “failing” at it, loving it, not being interested, etc. I'll share a short guided meditation plus a bit about my own practices. Rev. Peggy Meeker presents. Drop-in Discussions meet via Zoom on Tuesday nights from 6:30-7:30pm. Look on the First Universalist homepage for details and a link, or click the Zoom meeting link in this blurb title!

Thursday, March 9 | Eastman at Washington Square: Flutissimo!

Eastman at Washington Square Concerts take place on Thursdays at 12:15 to 12:45pm in our sanctuary. Mar. 9 is "Flutissimo!". Enjoy the ECMS Krustenjerna Scholarship Flute Choir, performing under the

direction of Sophia Gibbs Kim, as they help us usher in the spring with beautiful music! Admission is free!

Sunday, Mar. 19 | Bowl to Strike Out Homelessness!

Many thanks to the six people who joined the First Universalist bowling team and also to the non-bowlers who donated! So far, we've raised $395, enough for Family Promise to shelter a family for two weeks plus a few days. There's still time to sponsor the team by donating here before March 19. Questions? Ask Chris DeGolyer.

Sunday, Apr. 2 | Dick Gilbert: Words, Wisdom, and Music

Join us at 2pm in the First Universalist sanctuary in honoring this great UU Minister who dwells among us! The concert will feature the words of Dick Gilbert, set to music and performed by our own Voices of the Spirit and other UUROC musicians. The concert is free, with a goodwill offering taken to benefit First Universalist. Light refreshments to follow. Don’t miss it!
