ONLINE ONLY Sunday Service: Justice Work as Pastoral Work
I invite you to embrace the emergent in this month of congregational experimentation. This Sunday our guest preacher will focus the sermon on soothing the trauma of oppression through rest, play, and mutual care. Holding witness to the power behind shifting intention towards impact. We will be integrating somatic practices and playful exercises to allow the body release around topics of grief and struggle. Our hope is to shatter what binds us internally from stepping up in the world, and stoking the potential and capacity to be depthful vehicles for change even in small and seemingly quiet ways.

May 1 | Hybrid Tech Listening Session!
Have you been joining us online for Sunday services? Since adopting a hybrid model of online/in person services, we've experienced various challenges and technical difficulties. Despite the efforts of our intrepid Emma and volunteers, there continue to be some frustrating aspects of worshipping online. We don't want anyone to miss coming together as a community due to tech issues. One possible solution would be to change the platform we use. Do you have opinions/experience/thoughts about this? We want to hear what you have to say! Please join us online after service this coming Sunday, May 1, during the time normally reserved for coffee hour, to discuss this ever-evolving situation.

  • A Sorrow from First Universalist: Steve Searls's wife, Clara, had long been battling an illness and has been in and out of the hospital for months. On Sunday, April 10, Steve found out she had died just as church was ending. Our hearts go out to Steve and to his family, who are all mourning a mother, a wife, a sister, a friend, and a potential grandmother.

Note: When you email a joy or sorrow to us, you are giving us permission to read it aloud at our Sunday service and possibly publish it in this weekly email. Thank you!
