Music for Bassoon and Piano
Eastman at Washington Square Concerts take place on Thursdays at 12:15 to 12:45pm in our sanctuary. May 5 is "Music for Bassoon and Piano": Bassoonist Blair Koerner and Collaborative Pianist Zachary Peterson will share music to bring delight in May. Admission is free! Please wear a mask and do not bring food or drink into the sanctuary with you.
Richard Brush Memorial Fund: Matching Challenge
An anonymous donor has generously offered to match up to $2500 any donations we make before August 31 to the Richard Brush Memorial Fund for Family Promise's shelter program. May 8 | Book Group: "Salt to the Sea" by Ruta Sepetys
This historical novel is based on the sinking of the Wilhema Gustloff in 1945. Over 9000 passengers perished. The passengers were trying to escape the Soviet advance. Sepetys has made a commitment to tell the story of four unlikely heroes who band together and make a pact to help each other. Please join us May 8 at 11.50am in the Chalice room for a lively discussion. For those of you who like to read ahead, our June selection is "Interpreter of Maladies" by Jhumpa Lahiri.
