Happy Thanksgiving!

Denise, Gregory, Madeleine, and I extend our warmest wishes to you and your families on this day of giving thanks for all that God has done. I hope that your day is a time of rest, relaxation, good food, good cheer, and time spent with your loved ones.

I look forward to seeing you all on Sunday as we begin the season of Advent, a season of preparation and expectation - awaiting Christ in the manger, in our lives, and the day of Christ's return.

ABC List - Adopt A Family Baskets
Christmas Food Baskets – ABC List
 
We are collecting for 130 baskets this year.
 
If your last name starts with:
A,B,C,D - please bring cooking oil and toilet paper (4 packs)
E,F,G,H - please bring stuffing, cornbread mix, and can corn
I,J,K,L - please bring dish soap
M,N,O,P - please bring paper towels and green beans
Q,R,S,T - please bring icing, can peas, and mac and cheese
U,V,W,X,Y,Z - please bring cake mix and packages of candy canes
 
In addition to these items, please consider donating the following items that make preparing a meal that much easier: Cans with pull tabs, basic spices (such as salt, pepper, paprika, etc.), Flour, Sugar.
 
If you would like to donate money for turkeys, sweet potatoes, fruit, and bread, we would be deeply appreciative. If you are going to donate a turkey – please let us know this week.
 
We are compiling our list of names of families who would like to receive one of these baskets. If you, or someone you know, would like to be on this list, please let us know.
 
You can drop off items at any time starting this week – I am at church Tuesdays through Thursdays from 930am to 230pm, and, of course, on Sunday mornings.
 
We will be finalizing the filing of the baskets on Friday, December 16th, pick-up/delivery will be Saturday, December 17th.
