Dear friends,
Please plan to join your church family this Sunday following worship for our Annual Congregational Meeting (about 11:45, we'll begin immediately after the benediction).
Many new friends have been worshiping, fellowshiping, and calling Geneva their church home since last year's meeting, so a natural question for some might be "What exactly is this meeting?"
Each year church leaders report to the congregation about the previous year of ministry: what we've done, what we've learned, and fruit that's grown. We hear also about our hopes, plans, and prayers for the coming year of ministry. In addition, the congregation receives the annual budget that Session has already voted to approve and also votes on my "Terms of Call" (compensation) for the year.
You will have the opportunity to see and hear from our Elders, Deacons, and Day School leaders.
It might all seem a bit "official," and it is; but it's also an inspiring and joy-filled time to celebrate together God's goodness to us as a congregation and individual believers therein! I look forward to being together as we worship the Lord even through this yearly meeting.
Yours in Christ,
Pastor Patrick
