Youth and Children

Children's Church with Katherine Server meets in Children's Worship Space for songs and a Lesson during Worship.

K-5 Sunday School will be held in room 27 after the worship service.

TGIF meets on Fridays, 7:00 -7:30 a.m. Bradley Park Starbucks

Youth Sunday School This class is led by Pete Temesgen and and Lori Benedict and will meet in the conference room adjacent to the restaurant at Houlihan's.

There will be a Covenant Partner Class held on Sunday, October 23, 10:45-11:30 a.m. for those interested in becoming a part of the ministry of Grace Presbyterian in a fuller way. Contact Rev. Hasty for more information.

PROGRESS ON OUR FUTURE HOME FOR GRACE! Chad Wicker is almost complete with his work of clearing small trees and underbrush on the Riegel Point property on Britton Road. This 9.13 acre gift by the Wright Family is a blessing that will certainly bless generations to come. Stay tuned for plans to gather for prayer and praise this Fall!

GRACE GROUPS will be formed during October and meet monthly through May 2017. All Covenant Partners will be in a Grace Group. "Friends of Grace" who wish to be placed in a group are welcome. Contact Barbara Blizard, barb-bill@charter.net or Kathy Hall, kathyghall@yahoo.com. The purpose of Grace Groups is prayer and fellowship. Meal arrangements and gathering times will be determined by each group. Please pray God's blessing on this important part of our ministry.

Rock Presbyterian will move into their new sanctuary the week of October 17 with their first worship on Sunday, October 23. Dedication of their new facilities will be Sunday, November 6 at 4 p.m. They will also ordain Pastor Hyun Lee at this worship gathering! All are invited.

Grace Presbyterian Church Auction to benefit the Wachara, Kenya Medical Clinic Thursday, October 20th, 6-8 pm. Old Town Chapel and grounds, 8201 Veterans Pkwy. Appetizers and beverages will be served. Wonderful items already donated from vacation homes to original art. Please make reservations at 706-223-0966. Also, we are Cooking for Kenya  by calling all chefs to prepare your best dish. If you have something you would like to donate or a dish to prepare, please speak to Barbara Blizard or Cathy Bickerstaff.

Covenant Partner News

There will be a  Covenant Partner Class  held on  Sunday, October 23, 10:45-11:30 a.m.  for those interested in becoming a part of the ministry of Grace Presbyterian in a fuller way. Contact Rev. Hasty for more information.

If you would like to become a Covenant Partner of Grace Presbyterian Church, you may do that by taking an online course, and then attending one class at Grace to summarize the teaching.  For the Online course you can EITHER go through the 3 presentations found on the Grace website -OR- watch 3 videos from the ECO website.  You can access all of these at the link below.  


Education Happenings

Fall 2016 Adult Sunday School  classes continue today. Class choices are "The Miracles of Jesus" (video & discussion) led by Harry Rice is Salon C, "How We Got the Bible" (lecture & discussion) led by Dave Giles, Neil Hotard and Carl Hopp in Salon A, "This Is My Story" class will be information about the upcoming KENYA Mission Trip this Sunday in Salon B.

Men's Prayer Breakfast will meet weekly every Tuesday from 7-8 a.m. in the Youth and Young Adult Worship space.  All are welcome.

Women's Bible Study continues this Wednesday, October 19 from 10-12 noon. Please let Donna Terry know if you plan to attend and contact her with questions at 706-442-4434.
Missions

"HELP IS ON THE WAY!" Our goal is $40,000  to complete a medical clinic in Wachara, Kenya. Participate by collecting "Change for Wachara" every week. Empty your Change Container during the Offering in worship.
