27 Dec 2017

It is always a blessing to worship with community in this sacred space! Grace UMC has a long history of being a church based in this community and this city. The last few years have brought many changes to our campus, which have provided state-of-the-art, environmentally friendly improvements. The coming year will bring more improvements to our space, including an update to our audio/visual system in the sanctuary in early 2018 and the opening of new parking and green space (currently under construction) in the spring.

There are many plans underway to deepen our connection with the General Board of Global Ministries (GBGM), which has made possible the beautification of our campus, and with Metro Atlanta's Action Ministries, our partner for over 30 years. If you haven't already, I hope you will consider liking our Facebook page

Patsy Woods and Edith & Melco Langford visited Grady Hospital on Tuesday, Dec. 19th to deliver 18 stoma covers to the Respiratory Department, and 16 blankets and 73 hats to the NICU (Special Care Nursery). Both departments expressed their gratitude.

Grace's total donation to Grady for 2017:
  • 167 hats
  • 48 blankets
  • 71 stoma covers
Also, we gave out 5 prayer shawls. We welcome more knitters, crocheters, and also donations to help with our yarn costs.

Thank you for your generous support of this ministry, and happy hoildays!
Action Ministries will host a Smart Lunch, Smart Kid lunch distribution site at Fort Street United Methodist Church for students over their schools' holiday break.
