Sunday School Update
There are many reasons to love September; pumpkin spice, the cooler evenings, apple picking...but my favorite reason is the return of children at church! We have missed all of those faces! Miss Priscilla and I are readying the classrooms for a fun, busy year of church school. We were lucky enough to see some of those wonderful children last week at Vacation Bible School. It was truly a blessing to reconnect after such a long absence.
Rachel Scott will be joining Kim Carbonneau in the nursery this year! Two veteran baby whisperers to watch your littles until age 3!
We understand families have different comfort levels during these times and details about COVID safety for church school will be forthcoming.
Hope to see your children in the coming year!
Blessings,
Miss Jen
SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 12th at 10 am
Worship, Sunday School, Picnic,
Games, Dunk Tank and
Consignment Center Donation Day!!!!

The Fellowship & CE Committees invite you to join us for lunch & fun after service on September 12. Lunch & games are being planned to welcome you all back. We'll be keeping the patio doors open & having tables in & outdoors.
The Consignment Center flag will unfurl on Tuesday, September 14, when doors open again for a new 2021-22 season. After closing unexpectedly last year, we are delighted to resume business and celebrate the 65th anniversary of the work that was initiated in 1956.
Prepare to Share with the Consignment Center!
In order to have a sampling of merchandise ready for the public on that day, a Donation Offering will be accepted at HCC on Sunday, September 12. Baskets for small items will be on hand in the vestry, and the Consignment Center will be open downstairs after the morning service to receive larger gifts. The racks were emptied in March, 2020, so we will be glad to receive fall clothing for men, women, and children (clean, current, and in good repair) as well as jewelry and accessories, household goods, small appliances, artwork, games, puzzles, toys, and kitchenware. View www.guildconsignment.org for details about donation requirements, and also items which we cannot accept.

Volunteers will start on Monday, September 13, to sort, tag, and arrange donations and displays.

Regular business hours return each week on Tuesdays (10am-7pm), Wednesdays ( 10am-1pm), Thursdays (10am-6pm) and Saturdays (10am-1pm).

Please stop in to meet our staff, browse, and gain a glimpse of the GUILD’s purpose and mission throughout the decades. We hope to make this year especially enlightening, prosperous, and fun for all.

Blessing of the Animals
September 26 at 2 pm

Please bring your pet(s) to the patio at HCC for a blessing on Sunday, September 26, at 2 p.m. You can also bring a photo of your pet. We will share a song and a brief liturgy and each pet will receive a blessing. This is a cherished tradition that we are bringing back after missing it last year. Please join us!
Fellowship Housekeeping Note:
As the school year starts up in September, the Fellowship committee hope’s to be able to host some events in this fall & winter! We can’t wait to see you all!! Fellowship is inventorying the kitchen and trying to get things organized after being away for over a year and a half! If you left anything in the kitchen that you want back, or need to store anything, please reach out to Stephanie Minister (sgeorgmini@yahoo.com) so that nothing is accidentally thrown away. Thank you very much in advance.

Green Tip for the Week
KEEP YOUR BODY MOVING

These days when social distancing and wearing masks are highly recommended to curb the spread of COVID, it is important to get outdoors. Walk around the block. Explore new trails or ones you haven't walked for some time. Take a bike ride. Spending time in nature, especially among trees, can reduce stress and anxiety, improves one's mood, energy, sleep and can boost the immune system. Being in touch with nature will also remind us of the importance of caring for the natural world which it is so easy to abuse. Although Earth Day itself is 3 months past, think of every day as Earth Day and do something to care for it. Find some useful tips at this Episcopal website:
