Livestreaming Worship Begins

Beginning on Sunday, May 8th (Mother's Day). we will begin livestreaming our Sunday morning worship services.

Thank you to all who have given generously to make this newly emerging outreach a reality for us! If you cannot join us online at 9:30 am, the livestream worship service will be available to view later on the homepage of our website as well as in our Monday morning email blasts.

Listening Phase Study Continues
at Incarnate Word!

An important time approaches for Incarnate Word as we continue to consider our shared visions for taking Incarnate Word's missions and ministries into the future.  

You are invited to share your input via the Mission Assessment Profile (MAP) which can be accessed by clicking on the box below. It is also available as a pdf and hard copies can be found at church for your convenience. We want to hear from you!

Healing Handiworkers

"Right Relationship with God's Creation"
Join us on May 8th at 11am via zoom for our next Adult Forum. Dr. Crystal Hall, The Kraft Assistant Professor of Biblical Studies at United Lutheran Seminary, will lead the forum on the call into right relationship with God's Creation.

Ecology is a central theme throughout the Bible, and this forum will focus on Paul's "new creation" in Galatians. While this text has traditionally been read as the "new believer" in Christ, this study will explore the connections between humanity and Creation for Paul, and how the call into right relationship extends not just to humanity but also to Earth.

Dr. Crystal L. Hall has taught at United Lutheran Seminary since 2018, and co-directs the Guatemala Immersion Semester Program. Her research focuses on the Pauline corpus, apocalyptic literature, poverty and wealth, and ecological and liberationist hermeneutics. She is a frequent speaker in congregational and synodical settings on women’s leadership, LGBTQIA+ inclusion, and immigration. Dr. Hall is a lay leader in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). She resides in Philadelphia, and enjoys hiking and bringing friends together around a meal.

The seasons of Spring and Easter are times of renewal. We are very pleased to be celebrating the 'renewal' of our 2nd Sunday Vespers Series on Sunday, May 8th at 7:00 p.m. Join us for a Choral Vespers for Eastertide, featuring favorite music for the Easter season.

Commitment Sunday Thank You!
Thank you to all who celebrated Commitment Sunday with us either in person or online five Sundays ago. Our congregation is blessed by a long legacy of generous giving and you are a critical part of that legacy.

If you were unable to be with us in worship and have not yet had an opportunity to share your "Time, Talent and Treasure Commitment Form," feel free to either mail it in to the church or bring it with you in person anytime.
