This week's book study will not meet, but will resume next Wednesday, March 3rd at 7 pm. A Zoom link to that meeting will be sent out next week.
In its place this week, a number of our weekly book study participants will be attending the 2021 University of Rochester Martin Luther King Jr. Commemorative Address on Wednesday, February 24th at 7 pm.
See Pastor Doug for more details.
The MLK Commemorative Address was instituted in 2001 to promote diversity, freedom, civil rights, and social justice. It’s co-sponsored by the Office of the President, Office of Minority Student Affairs, Office of Alumni Relations and Constituent Engagement and Office of Equity and Inclusion.
This year's guest is Ibram X. Kendi, the Andrew W. Mellon Professor in the Humanities and the Founding Director of the Boston University Center for Antiracist Research, best-selling author, antiracist activist, and historian of race and discriminatory policy in America.
