Volume 222 | Week of May 23, 2022

This Week at Incarnate Word

In-Person Worship
Continues Sundays
@ 9:30 am

Because the safety and well-being of all continue to be our highest priorities, the social distancing protocols of sign-ins, facemasks and 6′ distances will be observed at all times in our building.

We strongly encourage all who are able, to be fully vaccinated and boosted.

Please note: Re-Opening our building is always contingent on rates of Covid infection and could change at any time.

Livestream Worship Is Here!

Thank you to all who have given generously to make this newly emerging outreach a reality for us! If you cannot join us online at 9:30 am, the livestream worship service will be available to view later on the homepage of our website as well as in our Monday morning email blasts.

If you, or someone you know, is interested in being a part of this ministry please speak to either Thatcher Lyman or Pastor Doug.

Mustard Seed Kitchen
Saturday, May 28th
5:00 - 6:00 pm

On Saturday, May 28th from 5-6 pm, our Mustard Seed Kitchen will once again be serving hot nutritious meals to some of the most vulnerable folks in our neighborhood. We are still serving meals "to go" until it is completely safe for our guests and volunteers to be inside together.

Feel free to print up a copy of this month's MSK Flyer to get the word out about this incredible meal being served on Saturday!

Kairos Listening Phase Continues
Thank you to all who not only participated in the Mission Assessment Profile (MAP) this past month, but who stayed after church last week to hear the interpretation of its results.

As the Listening Phase continues, Jeff Kjellberg of Kairos and Associates has begun meeting with staff and other leaders of the congregation. To better understand the MAP results, Jeff will continue to meet with groups and individuals around the church when he returns to us in mid June.

Our Listening Phase Team consisting of Linda Clark, Tom Madden, Lynn Krauss-Prince, Elva Mikk, Thatcher Lyman, and Pastor Doug will begin putting an interview schedule together for Jeff. Please reach out to any of these team members with questions you may have.

Support the City of Buffalo
In the wake of the horrific massacre that took place at the Tops Friendly Market on Jefferson Road in Buffalo last weekend, that part of the city has become an even greater food desert for those who live in the neighborhood. Now more than ever, the food ministries in that area need our support. If you are interested in helping support these efforts, please check out the Upstate New York Synod ministry Community of Good Neighbors.
