Volume 110 | Week of March 30, 2020
This Week at Incarnate Word
"Oh, may this bounteous God through all our life be near us, with ever joyful hearts and blessed peace to cheer us, and keep us all in grace, and guide us when perplexed, and free us from all harm in this world and the next"
~ Evangelical Lutheran Worship #840
The Work of the Church Continues!
Worship Services and other Gatherings cancelled through the month of April
Due to ongoing health and safety concerns surrounding the COVID-19 Pandemic, all worship services and other gatherings will remain cancelled through at least the end of April.

This being said, the work of Incarnate Word goes on. Online worship services are still being planned; online video conferencing still enables core groups and Congregation Council to meet; Prayers are still being offered for those in need; the homeless still are fed through a modified "grab and go" version of Mustard Seed Kitchen; Virtual coffee shop office hours still happen weekly; and an Easter season video conferencing Bible study of the Book of Acts is being planned for April.

The work of the church goes on and we invite you to stay active in the life of our congregation! Thanks be to God!
Think Generously, Practice Generosity
and do so Courageously
Sunday, April 5th is Commitment Sunday
All members should have already received this year's Stewardship Appeal Letter in the mail.

As difficult as these unprecedented times are in our world, we are thankful for your generosity in the past, which is helping us endure the uncertainty of the world around us in the present. Your generosity validates our name, Incarnate Word - "God's flesh in the world."

All are invited to return pledge cards and Time & Talent indications by mail to the church office by April 5th.

Now more than ever, God needs us actively engaged in the world around us. Your continued love, generosity, and courage will make that happen!

Next-To-New Sale Update
Since we cannot be sure of dates and space availability at this time, it has become necessary to postpone our next-to-new sale originally scheduled for mid-May. This is NOT a cancellation of the event, it is merely a postponement till the Fall.

Please continue to scour your attic, basement, garage, etc. for items that are clean and in good condition. The church building is currently closed, but we will gladly accept those donations just as soon as we can. Keep in mind that all proceeds from the sale go directly to the Dominican Republic Healthcare Mission.

Any questions, please call Christy Flaim at 491-7070.
