"Your whole life is controlled by karma, you live within the energy field of karma. Your energy interacts with another energy, then another, and another. That’s how your entire life unfolds. Physically, mentally, it’s all karma.

CELEBRATE LOSAR, TIBETAN NEW YEAR
Losar is the Tibetan New Year, when families gather to celebrate hopes for a better coming year. The first two weeks of the Tibetan year are particularly powerful spiritually, and auspicious for practice.
Losar falls on Tuesday, February 5, when we'll hold a special guru puja at noon, and on Sunday, February 10, we will celebrate in the gompa with treats, song and dance.
Losar ushers in the Days of Miracles, a 15-day period when karmic results of all our actions are multiplied. Our Tara practice in February falls within this period, so there's lots of energy in participating in this practice!
• Tue, Feb 19: All day,
Day of Miracles - Monlam Chenmo
;
Noon, group reading Sanghata Sutra; 7:00p, group reading, Golden Light Sutra; those who have taken the Eight Mahayana Precepts previously from a qualified teacher are encouraged to take them at home at "first light."watch for further details

WHEN THE CHOCOLATE RUNS OUT
~ by Lama Yeshe
Now in Paperback! To know Lama Yeshe was to know he loved chocolate; it was his favorite metaphor to describe the nature of our attachments. This funny and trenchant little volume answers the question of how we can be happy even after the "chocolate" has run out. By cutting the cords of attachment, we discover the indestructible happiness that has always been—and always will be—available to us.

May you have just enough of life's offerings today to help your mind become more clear and not so much that the waters are muddied.
"Muddy water is best cleared by leaving it alone." ~ Alan Watts

|
"Also known as "mind training" or "mind transformation". A powerful approach to the development of bodhicitta, in which the mind is trained to use all situations, both happy and unhappy, as a means to destroy self-cherishing and self-grasping.
