The Discovering Buddhism two-year series continues with the Wisdom of Emptiness, a six-class module. The realization of emptiness is crucial for the attainment of liberation and enlightenment. Learn to develop calm abiding and different methods of meditation on emptiness.

Sunday morning classes begin at 10:30
Dharma Parents, check out our new Family Programing for Sunday Morning. For six weeks (through June 10), families will learn about:
- Shakyamuni Buddha
- Four Noble Truths
- Saka Dawa
- His Holiness the Dalai Lama
- Compassion Day

Following prayers in the gompa, a facilitator will lead parents and their children to the eduction building and guide them through discussion, meditation, and activities to discover the dharma.
Parents will learn alongside their children throughout the six-week course. Middle school class and preschoolers will continue to have drop-off classes available, with special thanks to Adriana Ortegon and Michael Flaherty.
For the first three weeks in May, Michael will focus on Kindness with the middle age kids.

SPRING FLING PARTY FUN!
Members of Kadampa Center, including talented musicians of all ages, gathered on Kadampa Center grounds and around our precious stupa to celebrate lovely weather and enjoy good times together. They played outdoor games, shared music and song, and food and friendship during the First Annual Spring Fling party held on Sat, April 28. Special thanks to Heather, our hospitality coordinator, for her help in organizing the event.

Thanks go out this week to a new visitor Pagan Reid, who ran into our Grounds Manager while visiting our stupa. She was excited to hear about grounds day and she and her friend were the only volunteers to dig and plant in our gardens last Saturday. The magical weapon of the Vedic god Indra, made of metal and very sharp and hard; adamantine. A thunderbolt. A tantric implement symbolizing method (compassion or bliss), held in the right hand (the male side), usually in conjunction with a bell, which symbolizes wisdom and is held in the left hand (the female side).
