KADAMPA CENTER FEATURED DURING RALEIGH MAYOR'S ANNUAL UNITY DAY BREAKFAST
The Kadampa Center was one of two organizations featured during the 13th Annual Mayor's Unity Day held on Sat., Jan 20 at Vidrio, 500 Glenwood Ave., Raleigh. The event, sponsored by the Raleigh Human Relations Commission, strives to bring elements of the community together to share ideas that enhance understanding of different cultures in order to improve human relations. Outreach Coordinator Elise Strevel and Center Manager Jill Marie offered heartfelt messages about the Center. Additional members, representing various Center programs, including Venerable Lhamo-la, were available to answer questions and mingle with event attendees, including Raleigh Mayor Nancy McFarlane.
