"Karma is your experiences of body and mind. The word itself is Sanskrit; it means cause and effect. Your experiences of mental and physical happiness are the effects of certain causes, but those effects themselves become the cause of future results. One action produces a reaction; that is karma.
"
~ Lama Thubten Yeshe

IVE GENERAL DANA ANY TIME OF THE YEAR
Live in the present, give in the present
- Have you heard the word Dana (sounds like Donna) used at the Center? It means generosity, an important Buddhist virtue. One may be inspired after a meaningful Sunday teaching or to commemorate a personal milestone. Some choose this method for anonymity, others prefer to give as their heart is moved.

Special thanks to Suzy Boehm and Linda Saah, who coordinated drivers, volunteers and Venerable Amy's housing host, as well as seeing to innumerable little details behind the scenes. Thanks also to our financial sponsors for making her visit possible, and to the folks who drove, greeted, set up offering bowls, offered beverages to Venerable Amy, and to everyone who came to hear the teachings.
