MEDITATION PRACTICE DAY
DEDICATE A DAY TO FOCUS ON CORE MEDITATION PRACTICES IDEAL FOR YOUR DAILY PRACTICE

Join us for a Mediation Practice Day to be held on Saturday, Nov. 11 to focus on core mediation practices beneficial for daily practice.
The Meditation Practice Day will be held from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. and will include six 35-minute sessions, breaks and lunch. Each session will include setting a motivation, meditation on the given topic, dedication, and journal entry. Participants are asked to bring a journal and food for snacks and lunch. NOTE: This session satisfies the Intensive Practice Day requirement for "How to Mediate," for those working towards Discovering Buddhism certification. Meditations on the Mind, a full-day Intensive Practice Day required for "Mind and its Potential," will be held on Saturday, Dec. 9.

MERIT MAKERS
We use about 200 long mats on the floor at the Light of the Path retreat, and more than 200 small cloths to cover student tables. A brave team of laundresses hauled all that fabric to the nearby laundromat recently for a marathon of washing, drying, trimming and folding -- all is ready for the next retreat! Many thanks to Venerable Khando, Joanna Smith, Cherie Sutorus, Jill Marie and Donna Seese for their work!
