MAHAMUDRA: HOW TO DISCOVER OUR TRUE NATURE
~ by Lama Yeshe
Recommended by Venerable Robina!  Lama Yeshe tells us that mahamudra is “the universal reality of emptiness, of non-duality” and its unique characteristic is its emphasis on meditation: “With mahamudra meditation there is no doctrine, no theology, no philosophy, no God, no Buddha. Mahamudra is only experience.” Lama Yeshe’s words are direct, funny, and incredibly encouraging.
NEW SHIPMENT OF
PRAYER FLAGS Unique to the Himalayas, prayer flags are pieces of cloth stamped with mantras and images, either in a pattern of five colors horizontally on a long string, or a single narrow vertical flag on a pole. Prayer flags are flown on auspicious days for different reasons including the removal of obstacles or illness; protection against harm when traveling; and on important occasions such as the third day of the Tibetan New Year, marriages, and other official functions.

– MERIT MAKERS –
A lot of work goes into hosting a visiting teacher at Kadampa Center–planning, organizing volunteers, and being on hand in the gompa to help everything run smoothly. Big thanks to our Visiting Teachers team - Linda Saah, Suzy Boehm and Laura Carballo - and to every volunteer who pitched in!
– SIDE NOTES –
Hope everyone got a chance to catch a night or two or 7 of Venerable Robina's teachings. It was a whirl wind of Dharma all the way from, "Zip your lips and keep your hands to yourself to if something is a dependent arising it has to be empty of inherent existence and if it's empty of inherent existence it has to be a dependent arising." There was something for everyone. All the recordings are on our website, so enjoy!!
– WORDLY WISE –
don dam lama (Tib); don dam bla ma (Wyl)

"The dharmakaya, the omniscient mind of the buddha, which is free from all gross and subtle obscurations. See also  conventional guru ."

(Wyl) or Wylie, is a method to transliterate the Tibetan script into Roman script.
