"
It is important to understand that true practice is something we do from moment to moment, from day to day. We do whatever we can, with whatever wisdom we have, and dedicate it all to the benefit of others. We just live our life simply, to the best of our ability.
"
~ Lama Thubten Yeshe

Spring Family Dharma Classes
- May 5-19 •
Join us for three weeks of Family Dharma Discussions. The subject matter and format for Family Dharma Discussions is:
How do we live the Dharma at our work and school?
Come discuss with other parents and hear what your kids have to say about:
- How to say what you believe
- How to treat real live bullies
- How to decide whether to play a video game or watch a show
We'll start with an intention together; have a facilitator for the children's discussion, while parents have their own. We'll come together, find out if our answers align, and share our perspectives!
This is not drop-off programming. Parents attend with their children.

Thanks go out this week to Christine Wiecek who watered our flowers around the stupa and the front door without being asked! Most of our gardens are watered automatically so anything in a planter gets pretty thirsty when days get hot. Thanks Christine for taking time our of your day to take care of our beautiful flowers. We appreciate you!

Here's a project for this week:
"Do not commit any unwholesome action.
Commit only wholesome actions.
Subdue your mind.
This is the teaching of the Buddha."
At least it's concise:-)
|
|
klesha (Skt); nyon mong (Tib); nyon mongs (Wyl)
"
An obscuration covering the essentially pure nature of the mind, causing suffering and dissatisfaction; the main delusion is ignorance and all the others come from this."
NOTE: (Wyl) or Wylie, a method to transliterate the Tibetan script into Roman script.
