Community Colleges to Spotlight Trades Careers in PA CareerLink Showcase

Interested in a career in the trades? Students will have an opportunity to learn about hot jobs in the area, training programs, and funding possibilities at the Career Pathways Showcase at PA CareerLink® Lehigh Valley on Thursday, June 5, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. CareerLink® is located at 555 Union Blvd. in Allentown.


In partnership with PA CareerLink® Lehigh Valley, LCCC will showcase training opportunities leading to a career in the trades, including noncredit, short-term certificate programs, as well as degree programs. Featured will be programs in automotive and commercial drivers license training, electrical, construction, HVAC, manufacturing and welding.


Learn about financial aid, admissions and career services, and visit with faculty in the various programs about program requirements and job opportunities. Training funds may also be available for qualified participants through CareerLink®.


Employers will be on site to highlight their open positions and talk with attendees. Pre-registration for the event is encouraged and can be completed online. For additional information, contact LCCC Admissions at admissions@lccc.edu or 610-799-1575.

Commencement Ceremony

To all graduating this semester: don't forget that the Commencement Ceremony will be held on Wednesday, May 21, at 6 p.m. at the PPL Center in Allentown. You must arrive between 5 and 5:45 p.m. to be in the ceremony. Check your student email for important information about the ceremony, where to arrive, etc. Questions can be directed to lccc_graduation@lccc.edu. Congratulations, and we'll see you at the finish line!

Clubs, Councils and Honor Societies

The LCCC clubs and honor societies do not meet over the summer, but check out the list for the fall! No pre-registration is required to join a club or honor society. INTRAMURALS, RECREATION AND WELLNESS

Tamaqua Community Day 5k

This race is free to run, but if you'd like to contribute, any donation amount is appreciated!


The Tamaqua Community Day 5K, sponsored by LCCC, will take place on Saturday, May 31, at 9 a.m. in conjunction with the Tamaqua Community Day celebration at Owl Creek Reservoir. The start and finish line will be at the Owl Creek Pavilion. Walkers will complete one lap around Owl Creek. Runners will complete 2 laps.


All donations collected will go towards the Owl Creek Commission to help with maintenance. The race is "no frills," meaning no t-shirts or bibs.


Bathrooms are available on site. Free parking is located on Owl Creek Road. After the race, food and drinks will be available for purchase with the top five male/female finishers receiving a free drink or food item. Day-of registration starts at 8 a.m. Register here.

Wellness Center Summer Hours

The Wellness Center and fitness areas of Berrier Hall is taking a break through July 1, with limited openings on select days. To check hours, contact Lacey Timony ltimony@lccc.edu.

Weekly Summer Yoga

Need some relaxation? LCCC Intramurals holds yoga classes every Thursday from 12 - 12:45 p.m. in the Berrier Hall Dance Studio. Bring water and a mat! Limited mats are available. Contact Lacey Timony at ltimony@lccc.edu to register.

August 2025 Graduation Application Reminder

Students planning to graduate in August must submit an application for graduation by Sunday, June 1. To determine if you are eligible to graduate, check your progress in Degree Works.

SMS/Voice Password Recovery Options to be Depreciated for LCCC Identity

Starting after Sunday, June 1, you will no longer be able to use SMS or voice messages to reset your LCCC Identity password. Moving forward, you will continue to be able to use more secure options like Okta Verify for self-service password resets or by contacting the Service Desk. If you are currently attending, you will be able to request an official transcript online beginning Thursday, May 23. If you are not currently attending and need your official transcript, please visit www.getmytranscript.com to order an electronic transcript.

TRANSFER SERVICES

LCCC to DeSales Pathway

A new transfer agreement will guarantee eligible LCCC graduates admission to DeSales. Students with the intent to transfer to DeSales can take one tuition-free course toward their bachelor’s degree during their completion of the LCCC associate degree. Also, students with a grade point average of 2.75 or above will receive a total financial aid package, inclusive of any scholarships, of at least 50% off DeSales tuition. Penn State Commonwealth Campus Agreement

A new articulation agreement has been signed to facilitate the transfer of LCCC students into various degree programs at each of the four Penn State Commonwealth Campuses. Click here to read more. For more information about academic or scholarship options, email adviseme@lccc.edu.


Kutztown Transfer Program

LCCC students who earn their associate degree can transfer seamlessly to KU, entering as a junior. Financial benefits of the transfer program include a $500 book award, $1,000 in housing scholarships per year for two years and up to $5,000 in merit scholarships.
