Veterans Appreciation Week: Nov. 9 - 15

LCCC will honor veterans with several events during Veterans Appreciation Week, Nov. 9-15, at the main campus in Schnecksville. Check out the attached flyer here for all of the scheduled events and details. The week of celebrations will kick off with the 5K Ruck ‘n Run/Walk starting at 9 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 9, at Bicentennial Park West in Bethlehem. Lehigh Valley colleges, universities, businesses and community members are coming together to honor veterans. Event proceeds benefit Battle Borne. Transfer Events - Tamaqua and Allentown

Interested in earning your bachelor's degree after finishing at LCCC? Fauzia Graham, Transfer Advisor, will be at the Morgan Center lobby, along with representatives from four-year colleges and universities, on Tuesday, Nov. 12, from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. answering questions about the transfer process and discuss LCCC's partnerships with over 60 four-year institutions. Fauzia will also be at the Donley Center lobby on Wednesday, Nov. 13, from 8 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Kutztown University Bus Trip

On Friday, Nov. 15, Kutztown University will host a bus trip for LCCC students, transporting them from the main campus to KU. The event will include an information session for prospective transfer students and a tour of the campus. Students will be picked up at 10 a.m., and the event will run to 2:30 p.m. Interested students should register here and complete an LCCC waiver form, which will be emailed to you after registration. Cougar Cabinet Food Distributions

LCCC offers pre-packed bags of groceries at the Schnecksville, Allentown and Tamaqua Cougar Cabinet Food Pantry locations. Appointments are available upon request by emailing your preferred site listed below for food assistance.


Directly Connecting Students to Food Options

The LCCC Cougar Cabinet food pantries can assist eligible students in need of transportation for accessing food resources. Options for fuel cards, transportation vouchers, and bus passes are now available for students who are experiencing limited access to food due to challenges with transportation.

Fall 2024 Full-Term Withdrawal Deadline

All student-initiated withdrawals must be submitted by Friday, Nov. 15 for full-term courses with class dates between Aug. 26 - Dec. 14. For specific refund periods for classes that start at a different time, refer to the refund and withdrawal dates chart.

The Career Development Center is proud to recognize and celebrate our Student Employees of the Month: Joel Khacho and Olivia Schroder!


Joel and Olivia have consistently demonstrated exceptional dedication and teamwork over the past month. Both have strong organizational skills that allow them to efficiently manage multiple tasks, ensuring that projects are completed on time and precisely. Their collaborative spirits and supportive natures make them invaluable team players, fostering a positive and productive work environment. They work as strong leaders in the science lab. Their support for each of the science lab managers, faculty, staff and students enhances collaboration and fosters a positive learning environment. Their strong work ethic and keen attention to detail have significantly contributed to our team’s success, making them key assets to our workplace. Joel and Olivia go above and beyond to assist their colleagues, consistently delivering high-quality results. For these reasons and more we would like to shine a light on them.

Intro to Literature (Taylor's Version) Coming this Spring

Join Dr. Melanie A. Turrano either in-person in Tamaqua at the Morgan Center or remotely for ENG 106: Introduction to Literature (Taylor's Version)! Current students, contact your advisor or register online before the class fills.


Course Description: Dear Reader, Taylor Swift knows that literature is creative, imaginative verbal art. This course introduces literature and literary studies that helped to shape Taylor Swift’s lyrics and artistic world. Through a survey of literature depicting a wide range of human experience, this course introduces concepts useful for analyzing and interpreting the following eras: short fiction, poetry, drama and the novel as we read works important to Swift and consider her allusions and literary devices. It considers relevant, credible resources as it examines relationships between literary significance and social position, inequality, cultural contexts and political power in the works of classic through contemporary authors and Taylor Swift herself.


The class will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9:35 - 10:56 a.m. Here's what to look for when registering:
