Sermon Title: Jesus the Suffering Servant

Scripture: Genesis 37-50

The similarities between Joseph in the Old Testament and Jesus are too numerous to be a coincidence. Joseph's life is probably the most obvious pattern of Jesus that we see in the Old Testament. We can see this from the meaning of their names, to the betrayal they endured, to their forgiveness of those who sought to destroy them. This Sunday, we will look at these and many other parallels to see how God was telegraphing His plans to save the world through His one and only Son. Join us as we explore the life of Joseph.

A word from Keith

The children’s ministry would like to invite church parents to a lunch on Sunday, March 8. This lunch will be directly after service, and the goal is to discuss how we can help our children grow closer to Christ. The Youth Minister-Parent partnership will also be discussed. Any parent, guardian, grandparent or trusted adult with a child in sixth grade or below is welcome to attend. Lunch and childcare will be provided for children during this time.

VOLUNTEER TO SERVE

• Make chili for our Cookoff competition.
• Make a cake, pie or other dessert for the Cake Auction benefiting the MC3 Student Ministry and their summer trip to CIY.
• Provide candy and help stuff 2,000 individually wrapped pieces of candy for the Easter Egg Hunt.
• Volunteers to provide cakes, pies, cookies or other desserts for the Cake Auction.
• Volunteers for security, parking, golf carts, popcorn and sno-cone machines, games, etc.

• Age-specific egg hunts for children in nursery school through fifth grade.
