SIGN UP NOW to attend Sunday's in-person worship service

New state rule limits total attendance to 50 people
This Sunday, MC3 heads into the brave new world of signing up to attend church.

We don’t necessarily like this idea of having to sign up, but the state of Georgia is requiring no more than 50 people in a room at one time to protect against the spread of COVID-19. As the Bible tells us, as long as we’re not violating one of God’s commands, then we’re supposed to honor the rules and laws of our civil authorities. Equally important, we want to do everything possible to protect the health and safety of our congregation.

So with all that said, please sign up now to attend Sunday’s 10:30 a.m., in-person service at the Paxton Drive Event Center located at 2150 Paxton Dr. in Lilburn. Attendance is limited to the first 50 people who sign up.

As we mentioned during Sunday’s service, we may offer two services in the near future to ensure we accommodate everyone who wants to attend in person.

Scripture:  Luke 10:25-37

This Sunday, we will wrap up our series with the Good Samaritan and how we should be loving our neighbors. We will discover that the kind of love Jesus calls us to is risky, uncomfortable, and can be costly. Join us as we venture back to Luke 10 and see the depth of love and compassion that we should have for those around us.

Kingdom Kids will tackle "The Good Samaritan" this Sunday

This week’s goal for our darling children is to help them learn to demonstrate love to someone else. We will continue to follow with the adult worship text from Luke 10:25-37 and the sweet story of “The Good Samaritan.”

We will also talk about how showing love may require some sacrifice—money, time, sharing, giving and other things. Who is your neighbor? Anyone you can help is your neighbor—any friend or enemy.

Showing love and kindness is evidence that you truly love God. God loves every person in the world, no matter his race or nationality, and He wants His children to do good to all.

Children love to role play and this Bible lesson is great for that! Our lesson will be available for you on Friday so that you can prepare to share this heartfelt story with your greatest treasure(s) in the world!

  • Technology Ministry Need - MC3 needs servants who can help our Technology Ministry ensure the Sunday service is streamed online in a professional manner. Specifically, we need someone who can monitor the audio portion of the stream. Training will be provided, so don't let concerns over any lack of knowledge dissuade you from serving.   • We need coats—light weight or heavy weight—to support a coat drive by Lunches For Love, a local charity focused on ensuring all children have enough to eat. If you have a spare coat, please bring it to our Sunday service or drop it off at the church office. (Please call the church office at 770-783-1035 to make arrangements before coming.)
