New sermon series explores God's help when we're in the deepest, darkest places of life
Sermon Title: A Desert
Scripture:  Genesis 28 and 32

All throughout scripture we find God in the most unexpected of places. Many in our world would assume that God would be in heaven, calling the shots from a safe vantage point. And yet, in scripture, we find Him alongside us, leading, guiding and helping us when we find ourselves in the deepest, darkest places. In our new series, we will highlight four unexpected places where His presence can be found. Join us Sunday as we look to one of the most deserted places in the world to find the presence of God.
Volunteers needed to serve dinner Thursday

We need volunteers to help prepare and serve a lasagna dinner Thursday night to help our mission partner, Bread Coffeehouse at Emory University, kick off the new school year.

Various members have graciously volunteered to cook lasagna and cobblers and deliver them to the church office by 3 p.m. Thursday. We will be transporting the food to Bread Coffeehouse starting around 3:30 p.m. If you can meet us at Bread anytime after 4 p.m., your assistance would be greatly appreciated. Dinner will be served at 7:30 p.m.

If you have questions, please contact Barb O'Conner at 678-770-9979 or call the church at 770-783-1035.
