Is the Holy Spirit present in your life?
NEW SERMON SERIES: Ghost Stories
Sermon Title: The Person of the Holy Spirit
Scripture: John 16:7
We don't often highlight the person of the work of the Holy Spirit. And yet, Jesus said in John 16:7 that it was to our advantage that He would go away and that the Holy Spirit would come. This Sunday we will discuss the person of the Holy Spirit and how important His presence is in our life.
Your servant's heart needed for FallFest Oct. 19 at J.B. Williams Park

Our 2019 FallFest will take place Saturday, Oct. 19 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at J.B. Williams Park, and we need your service to make it extra special for the families and children in our community.

Specifically, we need servants to provide at least 25 trunk-or-treat stations, as well as staff the various games and activities, including inflatables, super hero story tent, face painting, sno-cone and popcorn machines, cake walk and the greeting station. Kemper Smalley and Mike Robbins will cook hotdogs and hamburgers, and will need help to serve and sell the food, including chips and drinks.

The church is widely promoting this event and we will need all hands on deck to put our best face forward for the community. We also want this event to be a fun time for our own families and children, so they can enjoy the day instead of serving.

Please be praying for the success of this effort and look for more details in the coming weeks. In addition, please be gathering candy to use in your own trunk-or-treat station or to help ensure the church has enough candy on hand for the event. You can leave your donations in the lobby at Parkview on Sundays.
Bobby Reese accepts call to replace Thom Arrendale on elder board
The MC3 Church elders regretfully announce that Thom Arrendale has resigned from the board due to family health issues. Thom has displayed an incredible servant's heart and provided leadership and business experience in helping the church over the past decade-plus, and his spirit and energy on the board will be greatly missed. We ask all of our church family to keep both Thom and his wife, Barbara, in your prayers as they deal with various health issues.

Meanwhile, we are grateful that former elder Bobby Reese has agreed to replace Thom. Bobby has previously served multiple terms as an elder and deacon, and continues to serve in our Children's Ministry as a leader in KidsTime Worship (first through fifth grades). He will begin his new term as elder on Oct. 1.
"What goes up must come down!"
We are looking for more volunteers to serve in our Gravity Ministry Team. This team arrives early to Parkview and sets up the mobile church, and they are the ones that stay after and tear down and pack all our gear in the trailer.  If you would like to be a part of this vital team, then please fill out the form below.  And if you are already serving in this area, please take a moment and fill out this form as well, so that we can communicate better to you.
