MC3 will move into temporary home starting Sunday
As announced yesterday, we are excited to move into a temporary church home starting this Sunday.

Our Sunday worship service will now be held at 10:30 a.m. in the event hall located at 2150 Paxton Dr. in Lilburn. The facility is attached to the PetSmart building on Highway 78, next to The Home Depot. Here’s what you need to know:

  • The facility will open at 10 a.m., and donuts and coffee will be available.
  • To help us adhere to social distancing standards and federal and state health guidelines, please take a moment now to let us know if you will be attending the in-person worship service. Send an email to Vicki Calhoun at
  • Face masks will be required to attend the service. We also will do temperature checks on everyone entering the building. As is standard these days, if you have a fever or feel sick, please refrain from attending.
  • We will offer a children’s worship service for kindergartners through fifth graders. At this point, we will not have services for children ages 4 and under, but we hope to add those back in the near future.

We are super excited about God’s provision of a temporary home. It is an answer to many months of prayer that the Lord would lead us to either temporary or permanent space. While we have thoroughly enjoyed the parking lot service, the approach of winter makes this a good time to relocate indoors.

If you have questions or concerns about the new space, please contact Jim Barber by email or phone at 770-783-2737.
A word from Art: That we may all be one
Sermon Title: We Are One
Scripture:  John 17:20-26

Mr. Rogers once said, "Everybody's different. And there are some things about everybody that are the same. That's what's wonderful. That's what helps us to understand each other. That we've got some things inside of us that are the same as somebody else's. We're all human beings." Jesus said something similar in His prayer in John 17:20-21 (probably one of the most powerful prayers ever prayed): "I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one." This Sunday, we will discover that we are all neighbors. We are One!

“A Little Child Shall Lead Them . . .”

David and Goliath - 1 Samuel 17:1-58

This week’s lesson for children is one of the most famous stories in the whole Bible! It tells how a shepherd boy, David, triumphed over the Philistine giant, Goliath.

The Bible truth: David trusted God for victory when he went to fight Goliath. God still gives victory to people who trust in Him when they face giant-sized problems in their lives. You can count on God to give you courage.

Again, I remember this lesson so clearly from a wonderful and loving teacher sitting around a half-circle table for 4- and 5-year-olds! I fell in love with David, the shepherd boy, and told my mother on the bus going home, that someday I was going to have a son and would name him David. I did just that and this month he will be 51. My David is a wonderful Christian, husband, father and son, who loves the Lord and is gifted in teaching His Holy Word.

While parents are the number one teachers and leaders for their children’s spiritual growth, never underestimate the value and influence of your children’s teachers and leaders!

Help your child win our Trivia prize

The first child who calls me with the exact scriptural answer to these two questions will receive a prize!

What do we call the prayer that Jesus taught the disciples, and where is it in the Bible?”
