CONNECTING WITH OTHERS AND CHRIST ON A DEEPER LEVEL

Sermon Title: Commit
Scripture:  John 6

This Sunday, we will unpack John 6, where Jesus and His disciples encounter over 5,000 hungry people. In John 6:5-6, Jesus asks Philip, “Where can we buy bread to feed all these people?”  He was testing Philip, for he already knew what he was going to do." Jesus invites us to serve alongside Him and do something much bigger than ourselves. On Sunday, we will look at the importance of committing ourselves to serving the Kingdom.
"3 2 1"
“141” Children’s Version!
Grades 1 through 5 have been challenged to do the following:

3 Minutes each day to read their Bibles! (Read with or without their parents!) *

2 Minutes to pray (Make a list and set a timer!) *

1 Time a day to say to someone: “I just love my church!”

People will ask them, “Why?” and the child then can tell them their reasons and their story!

* These are long times for our darling children, but they have been encouraged that they can “Do It!”

They were given an ace, two and three of playing cards (not UNO cards) to help them remember. Won’t it
be interesting to hear their stories?

Make your child's offering count more

We have also requested the children to EARN their offerings by helping at home and to bring their Bibles to church on Sundays. (If your child does not have a Bible or if you cannot buy them one, please let me know (confidentially) and we will find a way to get them one! (P.S. – Grandparents LOVE to give these!)
Team Day
Sunday, Feb. 2
Feb. 2 is Superbowl Sunday and the darling children have been asked to wear their favorite team shirt!

The shirts can be their sport team shirts, high school, college, or pro teams from any sport. Not necessarily the Superbowl participants (since we do not know them yet!)

A lesson or devotion will be centered around Biblical teamwork, friendship and sportsmanship. A prize for all who wear a team shirt.
