A word from Art

Sermon Title: Remaining True in the Midst of Deception
Scripture: Revelation 2:12-17

We have had an incredible experience with our Parking Lot Service over the last few weeks. If you haven't joined us for this service, I encourage you to check it out. You can stay in your car, socially distanced from others, but still be in the mix at the same time. Also, a huge shout out to Keri Duncan and Melinda Wilson for being faithful to push out our Digital Service at 10:30 each Sunday. We had 189 views this Sunday alone, absolutely incredible. Who would have thought we would be doing two services on Sunday?

This Sunday we will look at the church in Pergamum, a church that was experiencing very similar things the church finds itself going through today. This is a church that was not only being attacked from the outside, but from within as well. We will unpack how we can remain faithful in a world of extreme deception. Join us either digitally or in the parking lot for a great Sunday service.
The preacher won’t ask you for gift cards or anything like that!
Recently, several members of the MC3 family have received emails seemingly from Senior Minister Art Stansberry asking for gifts cards or to respond to emails. They are hoaxes, so please delete them and don’t respond. Here is an example of one most recently received from "Pastor Art Stansberry."

I need a moment of your time, I have a request and I need you handle secretly.
I am currently busy, no calls for now, so just reply by email.

Again, these messages are hoaxes. Neither Art nor any member of the MC3 staff will ever solicit you for anything like this, including money or gift cards to help in an emergency situation. If you’re ever in doubt, always check the sender’s email address and you will typically see that it’s either unavailable or different from Art’s actual email, which is

Also, please be wary of requests from people emailing you to send them money for any emergency. In the past, we had a church member who received an email, presumably from another church member, requesting financial assistance by wire transfer of money. It proved to be a hoax and resulted in a significant loss of money.
Help us track Sunday attendance and viewership
In these days of online church—and in-person worship, too—it’s hard to keep track of attendance, so we’re asking for your help each Sunday.

Below is a short online attendance form that we hope you will complete each week to help us keep track of who's watching via the Web and who’s joining us in person in the parking lot. If you didn't complete the form yesterday, please take a moment and do so now.

The form also gives you an opportunity to submit prayer requests and evaluate the service. Your feedback will be most appreciated!

Revelation for your Children

Throughout the ages, Revelation has been a mystery because it appeared to be confusing, intimidating and difficult to understand. Teaching it to children has always been a challenge to all. The great news about Revelation is that Jesus is coming back! He will set things straight!

Next Sunday’s lesson will give you ‘a place to start’ in conveying this message in a childlike way. It is an overall general message of this Bible book. Look for the lesson in your email or on the MC3 Kids web page on Friday.

Isn’t it wonderful to teach your children about the same things you are learning from Art’s messages in adult worship? “They” say if you really want to learn something, teach it. May God richly bless you and your family as you begin these steps!
Help us feed the hungry, Friday, Oct. 2
We have an opportunity Friday, Oct. 2, to feed the hungry in Gwinnett County.

MC3 Church will partner with other churches to support the “Lettum Eat!” food distribution service. We need servants to help hand out prepared meals between 4:45 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. at The Nett Church’s Nettwork campus at 5320 Jimmy Carter Blvd.

The MC3 team will:
  • Hold signs at the street inviting passerby‘s onto the property.
  • Hand out the prepared meals to the drivers who remain in their vehicles in a drive-up line in front of the building.

This is an easy and satisfying way to engage with our community and offer a tangible expression of love during very difficult times for many, particularly in an area of the county with great need. Please email Jim Barber if you can join us to participate.

LETTUM EAT!—a nonprofit hunger-relief organization in Gwinnett County—uses the kitchen at First Baptist Church Snellville to prepare 200 to 300 meals every day Monday through Friday and distributes them at various locations in the county.

Please sign up here.
Get well, Courtney!
As you may know, MC3 Church servant Courtney Waithe is fighting a tough medical battle. Members of church family attending Sunday's parking lot service signed a massive get-well card, and Rae and Chip Caggiula presented it to the Waithe family later in the afternoon.

Our MC3 family just wants Courtney to feel the love and know we are praying every day for his recovery.
Kindness rules
The MC3 family is making an effort to be kind! Here are a few examples shared with us this week:

  • "I took a friend to the hospital to get test results."

  • "We cooked a meal for a family that is dealing with illness in our community."

  • "I took Rae Caggiula's advice and tried singing when I was in Walmart. Not sure if it was a kindness but it did draw a few looks my way and I smiled at folks when they did."

  • "It wasn't much but I opened a door for someone walking into a store."

It's a new week! How do you plan to show kindness to someone else?

Please take a moment and let us know about the acts of kindness you've shared with others or received from others. Send your stories to or share them on our social media channels.
