Finishing up with the incredible redemption of Ruth - and us, too
Sermon Title: God Our Redeemer
Scripture:  Ruth 4

This Sunday, we will wrap a nice little bow on our study of Ruth. Interestingly enough, the book of Ruth is really not about Ruth; it's about God's redemptive plan. Not a big surprise given that all of scripture is a story about God's redeeming mankind. We will see the culmination of God's blessings in the son that God gave to Boaz and Ruth. Ruth 4:21-22 says, "Boaz the father of Obed,  22  Obed the father of Jesse, and Jesse the father of David." Yes, David: This family line stretches all the way to Jesus. What an incredible redemption story!
Our children need a place to party for Christmas and New Year's Eve!
Our Children's Ministry needs a host home(s), clubhouse room, etc., for the following parties for approximately 20 children from age 4 through the fifth grade. All planning, supplies, refreshments and games will be provided by other Children’s Ministry servants and parents.

  1. Christmas Party – Date to be determined by host.
  2. Celebrate at Eight! – A New Year’s Eve Party, Tuesday, Dec. 31, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. We will celebrate the New Year’s stroke of midnight at 8 p.m.! More fun details later.

Please contact Rae Tyler Caggiula by email or at 770-597-2523 if you can host one or both of these parties.
Has your child submitted a name for our lion and lamb?
Make sure to get a contest form for your child this Sunday so they can submit a name for MC3's new lion and lamb Children's Ministry mascots.

The submission deadline is Sunday, Dec. 1, and the winners will be announced Sunday, Dec. 8, along with prizes for the two winners.

Each envelope received will be dated and time stamped at the time received. In case of a duplicate tie, the earliest submittal will win.

Hint: If you want to pet the Lion and Lamb, you must feed them first. What do this Lion and Lamb eat? Scripture, of course! You must feed him Words from His Holy Word! Kasen Singleton gives our unnamed lion a high-five!
Preschool Announcement
Windi Dees has humbly and lovingly accepted the responsibility of Preschool Coordinator for the 2-through 5-year-old classrooms. Let’s support her love and devotion for these children. Thank you, Windi !

Students need to bring their favorite Thanksgiving food dish to share. A prize will be given for the favorite dish! Your help is needed to hold church on Sunday mornings
Our Gravity Ministry needs help with the set-up and tear-down necessary to hold Sunday morning services at Parkview High School.

This team starts at 8 a.m. each Sunday to set up our mobile church. Tear-down and load-out of the trailer begin immediately after service ends.

Everyone is welcome. Even if you can help carry just a single piece of equipment to the trailer, it will be a blessing for this team.

If you would like to be a part of this vital team, then please fill out the form below.  And if you are already serving in this area, please take a moment and fill out this form as well, so that we can communicate better to you.

Quick hitters
COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS - Cold weather makes it tough for the homeless, and MC3 members Jered and Hope Stills are working to make things better through their Love in Deed ministry. You can help by donating socks, gloves and blankets. Bring your donations to church this Sunday and leave them in the metal tubs in the Parkview lobby.

Remember Your Loved Ones - McDonough Christian Church invites you to their annual Christmas Memorial Service Sunday, Dec. 1, at 6 p.m. This service is a lovely way to remember your loved one(s). For instructions to have your family member included in the service or to make reservations, please email or call Rae Caggiula at 770-597-2523.
A thank you from Auburn Christian Fellowship
Here is an excerpt from a note of appreciation the church received from Luke Caldwell, a resident at Auburn Christian Fellowship:

"I just wanted to thank you for making it possible to do ministry here in Auburn. I have the pleasure of working with upperclassmen, specifically the juniors who I worked with last year as sophomores. It has been so cool seeing them take a larger role in our community. ... I hope you know how much your investment means to me and the students here. God is really doing incredible things and it is because of people like you who see the possibility, move to meet our needs, and pray for us."
