Get in on LinkedIn

On Monday's webinar, we went over leveling up your LinkedIn profile to not only establish credibility, but to also start gathering leads and generating sales. We've got a couple resources in case you missed it or need some notes from the training.

  • Here, you can find the slides with a transcription from the webinar.
  • Here's an infographic you can quickly refer to that will summarize the entire training
  • Here are the cover photos you can use on your profile

All these materials can be found in the JAM Sales Tool Box as well! For any additional help, reach out to the marketing team at [email protected]

Print Catalog Stock Information

Our print catalog stock will be depleted soon. Reprint planning is under way. For the time being, we encourage you and your customers to utilize the digital catalog as well as download the app, available on both android and Apple stores.

MSS Connected

We're doing spotlights! And to start this off, we're highlighting Sharon Sparrow on our CET team. Did you know she owned a body shop and was a painter for 17 years before joining us here? She also has 6 kids, and 2 grandchildren, one grandchild she shares a birthday with! When Sharon isn't supporting all of us here, she enjoys reading, music, and gardening. Thanks for everything you do Sharon!

Estimating the Thread Length of a Cap Screw

If asked what the thread length is on a hex head cap screw, here’s a quick way to answer. While the length may vary somewhat, the general rule of thumb for cap screws is as follows. Also, keep in mind that very short bolts may be fully threaded.

For fractional cap screws, thread length is:

  • 2 times the diameter of the bolt, plus ¼” (if under 6” long)
  • 2 times the diameter of the bolt, plus ½” (if over 6” long)

For metric cap screws, thread length is:

  • 2 times the diameter of the bolt, plus 6mm (if under 125mm long)
  • 2 times the diameter of the bolt, plus 12mm (if between 125 and 250mm long)
  • 2 times the diameter of the bolt, plus 25mm (if over 250mm long)

For questions about this and other fastener issues, please contact product manager Elizabeth Adams at [email protected].
