Accepted Students Day 2025

On Friday, we rolled out the orange carpet for the incoming MD Class of 2029 during Accepted Students Day on our Macon campus. Thanks to the current students who helped make the event a great success!

New Accelerated Track Program in Psychiatry

We’re excited to announce that applications are now open for Mercer’s new program, the Rural Critical Need Accelerated Track (RCN-ACT) Scholarship Program in Psychiatry! This program is designed to address the critical health care needs in rural areas of Georgia. Modeled after MUSM’s Primary Care Accelerated Track Program, it enables students to complete their medical degree in an accelerated three-year program, with tuition and fees covered for the final two years. For now, the RCN-ACT program will only be offered at the Columbus campus in partnership with the St. Francis Psychiatry Residency Program, where students will complete their residency training after graduation. RCN-ACT students commit to practicing general psychiatry in a rural Georgia community for three years following their residency.
