Monday January 6th 5:00PM
Rabbi Jacob Jungreis was born in Derecske, Hungary. He and his family and about 1500 other Jews were chosen by Jewish activist Reszo Kasztner to be spared in exchange for money and valuables. In June 1944 they were sent to Bergen Belsen. In August and December 1944, the Kasztner group was sent to Switzerland. This past December marked the 75th anniversary of the journey of the Kasztner train.
