The world is constantly undergoing evolution. Just like sports records and technology are constantly improving, and mankind is constantly maturing (e.g. slowly but surely getting rid of slavery, racism, chauvinism, ;imperialism, etc.), how much more so is it natural for me, the individual, who has free-will to destine his fate, to constantly improve, and that's what Elul is about!
