Upcoming Events

Old Testament Celebration & New Testament Launch!

Sunday, October 2, 5:00 - 6:00PM in the Fellowship Hall

Don’t miss this casual Journey Through Scripture celebration with singing and sharing (snack and drinks, of course!) Come as a Journey Group, with friends, with the youth group, with your Community Group, with your family, by yourself!

We will sing a few songs and would love to hear what God is doing in children, youth, college students, adults, and our senior adults as we read God’s Word together. This event is for anyone who completed their goal, read more of the Bible this year than they ever have before, wants to hear how God’s Word is impacting our congregation, or wants to join us for our new goal — The New Testament in Ninety Days!

If you're joining us now, you can follow along by visiting mitchellroad.org/jts, picking up a copy of the reading plan at the Welcome Desk, or checking out the links below!

Christian Life Conference

October 9

Sunday Morning Worship & Evening Event (6:00 - 7:30PM)

Be here on Sunday, October 9, when Ray Cortese, pastor at Seven Rivers PCA, will bring us our first sermon of the year from the New Testament! (We really will get there!) That evening, come back and join us as Kevin Twit and his son, Cooper, lead us in a hymn sing for the whole family. Following the hymn sing, Ray will share with us again from God’s Word.

In 1999, when Kevin was an RUF pastor at Belmont University, he began Indelible Grace with some of his RUF students. Indelible Grace is a movement that reset old hymn texts to new music and sparked a new generation with a love for these rich texts.

On October 9, we will also hear more about our Local Outreach Partner, Mill Village Ministries, during Sunday School hour in Room B105.

Nursery (Birth-Age 3) available the whole service (registration not required).

K4-K5 can come down during the preaching as on Sunday morning.

October Adult Elective

There’s a New Kid in Town

Join us in B111 each Sunday in October as Mark Reed highlights the twists and turns in God’s redemptive story as revealed in the New Testament. This year, we’ve read through thousands of years in the Old Testament already. Get excited to see the fast-paced action of the New Testament and wider window now opened into God’s commitment to dwell with His people forever. Let’s gaze through that window together!

Drop-In for Jack & Martha Beall

Sunday, October 2, 9:45 - 11:45AM in B105

As Jack and Martha Beall wrap up their ministry here at Mitchell Road and move into an active and ministry-filled retirement, we know that you will want to come and thank them for their five years of leadership in Engaging the World! Drop by B105 on Sunday, October 2, and express your appreciation for this beloved couple!
