Join us this Sunday, May 15 at 4pm, in the Sanctuary for a short, but sweet, program from our youngest Mitchell Road choir! The Cherubs will provide a half-hour program of music that lifts up our Savior and puts a song in our hearts. Don't miss this exuberant and joyful gathering!
Marriage Mentors Needed

The church has a need for couples who have been married for ten years or more who consider themselves relatively (not perfectly) happy in their marriage relationship and are willing to invest in other couples to navigate the journey in marriage they've already experienced. In some cases, it might mean helping a premarital couple get ready and begin walking through their first several months of marriage. It might also mean walking with a seasoned couple who's encountered significant bumps and bruises along the way and in need of a helping hand and perspective as to how to keep going and growing. Mentors will be provided with the training needed for them to be successful in either of these mentor roles.

If you are interested in becoming a marriage mentor couple, contact Curtis DuBose at by May 30!

Engaging the World
Global Spotlight
Perspectives on the World Christian Movement

God has a “world-sized” role for every Christian in His global purpose. To help you discover the role God has for YOU in this season of your life, join us for a 15-week course called Perspectives on the World Christian Movement.

Through the stories of a different instructor each week, Perspectives will take you on a journey, looking in-depth at the biblical, historical, cultural and strategic aspects of God’s global plan to reconcile every nation, tribe, people, and tongue to Himself. These instructors will challenge and inspire you with their personal experiences and expertise, opening your eyes to see how God is working among all peoples and how you can be equipped to join Him.

We are excited to announce that the course, Perspectives on the World Christian Movement, will be hosted here at Mitchell Road this fall from August 25 - December 8 (with Thanksgiving week off)! We encourage you to join us!

Class Time: Thursday nights, 6:30 - 9:00pm, starting on August 25.

Local Spotlight:
May is National Foster Care Awareness Month

At a low commitment (4-5 times a year), join our diaper team or our meal train team! These teams will be informed when one of our foster families gets a new placement and asked to provide diapers or a meal.

At a medium commitment (1-2 times a month), become a wraparound family to one of our foster families and support them by coordinating with the diaper team and set up a meal train when your foster family gets a placement. The wraparound family’s goal is to build a community around your foster family by providing emotional support. Also, at the medium commitment, become a respite family! Respite families are licensed to provide respite (long term babysitting) for foster families.

At the highest commitment, become a foster parent and commit to “stand in the gap” for children in need, or consider adding to your family through adoption.
