February Elective Begins This Sunday!

Barriers to Prayer

Taught by: Neel Skelton (Learning Commons)

We are looking forward to beginning a new elective this Sunday called Barriers to Prayer. Have you wanted to feel close to God in prayer, but often feel like your prayers are going nowhere? Next Generation Pastor, Neel Skelton, will help us think through what might be preventing us from connecting with God in prayer. We invite you to join us in the Learning Commons on February 5, 12, and 19 during the Sunday school hour.

We hope you will join us for our Annual Valentine's Banquet! The banquet is for all seniors, not just couples. We’ll have great food and fellowship, as well as an inspiring and entertaining program by everyone’s favorite, our very own Trevor Manor!

Cost is $12 per person. You must sign up by TODAY, Wednesday, February 1. Register in the blue notebook at the Welcome Desk, or email Elaine at [email protected] to request a reservation.

You can put a check or cash in an envelope with your name included (ask that it be put in the box of Elaine Graybeal in the church office) or pay with either check or cash the night of the banquet.

Register for Kids Choirs

Cherub Choir: Age 4 - 1st grade (including T1) are eligible. Rehearsals begin tonight (February 1) and will continue each Wednesday through May 21. They will lead worship on April 2 (Palm Sunday) and April 16, as well as a Celebration of Praise on May 21. 

After 33 years of leading our Cherubs with passion and skill, Ruth and Gary Whitley will be stepping into a well-deserved retirement at the end of this semester. Stay tuned for ways to celebrate this dynamic duo! For questions, email Trevor Manor: [email protected].

Covenant Singers: 2nd-5th graders are eligible. Rehearsals begin tonight (February 1) and will continue through April 5. They will lead worship during Holy Week, on April 2 (Palm Sunday) and April 7 (Good Friday), as they tell of our Savior’s journey to Calvary. For questions, email Trevor Manor: [email protected].

Do you know a recent college-graduate that is looking to start their entrance into the workforce solidly and intentionally? We are looking for applicants that want to grow their heart for the church and the city. Our Fellows are immersed into the life of the church and the life of the city through their jobs, volunteering, mentoring, host families, and classes.

As we memorize Scripture together, listen for Psalm 1 in our liturgy throughout this year. We still have memory cards available for pick-up at the Welcome Desk - even kids are memorizing Psalm 1!
