Exploring Prayer: Purposeful Prayer

Sermon text: Matthew 6:5-13

Here & Now

Exploring Prayer 2023

Join Us in Memorizing Psalm 1 Together

This Sunday we will begin a 12 week sermon series on Prayer. As we begin exploring our prayer life, consider memorizing Psalm 1 with our church, meditating on it day and night. If you weren't able grab a Psalm 1 memory card this past Sunday, be sure to pick up one up at the Welcome Desk. We encourage you to place this card on your mirror, in your car, by your kitchen sink, or wherever it will be helpful to prompt you. Hiding these truths in our hearts is a valuable part of our faith that will yield fruit in us for the years to come.

January Elective

Leading Yourself to Follow Jesus

Taught by: Scott Puckett (B111)

The start of a new year is the perfect time to ask yourself hard questions and find honest answers to better lead yourself in faithfully following Jesus in the new year.

Join us the next two weeks at 9:45am in B111 as our new Engaging the World Pastor, Scott Puckett, wraps up the January elective!

Women's Retreat

March 10-11, 2023

Ladies, please join us for our first bi-annual Women’s Retreat called “Finding Freedom.” This year we will be going off campus to the Bonclarken Conference Center in Flat Rock, North Carolina.

Ruthie Delk will help us look at legitimate and illegitimate shame and the lies that our shame tries to tell us about our true identity that is in Christ. Throughout the weekend we will learn more about the freedom and comfort that Christ holds out for us, no matter our stories. There will be group teaching, personal reflection time, food, and fun activities planned. Recruit your friends to come with you, and plan to make some new ones as well!

You must register by February 5 to redeem early bird pricing!

Early bird pricing (includes lodging and 3 meals):

$115 - Triple (3+)

$125 - Double

$210 - Single

2023 Missional Living Conference

A Growing Love for the Things God Loves

Save the date for our 2023 Missional Living Conference: Friday, February 24 - Sunday, February 26.

This year, our annual missions conference is called the Missional Living Conference because we want to see each of you have a growing love for the things God loves. Don’t come to just hear how God is moving around the world, but come to experience how He wants to move through you.

Want to host a missionary in your home for the weekend? If so, email Becky at bhecht@mitchellroad.org
