The MCPS Drama Department is proud to present Thoroughly Modern Millie for their Spring production, and auditions are coming up soon!

Audition Dates & Times: Friday, December 13, 4:00-6:00PM

Callbacks: Saturday, December 14, if needed

Please sign up for a time to audition for our spring production of Thoroughly Modern Millie. Prepare a 45-90 second song cut of your choosing, preferably in the style of the show, but ultimately choose something that shows your abilities and that you feel confident singing. If you have questions, ask Mrs. Berry ([email protected]).

After we hear everyone sing in the library, there will be a dance call and cold read from the script in the DBC. 

Please arrive to your audition time at least 5 minutes early to ensure we are able to remain on schedule. 

If callbacks are needed, they will be held on Saturday, December 14. The Cast List will be posted by Sunday, December 15, and a first table read will take place on Monday, December 16.

Mandatory Boys & Girls Soccer Concussion Baseline Training

Greetings all,

Thanks to Meghan Johnson (our trainer extraordinaire), there will be concussion baseline training in the library 11 Dec & 12 Dec from 3:45-4:45. It should take less than 40 mins. We will have the computer cart there for the Middle school and 9th grade players. All other players should bring their own laptops.

Every player who has not had concussion baseline training in the past two years must attend either the Wednesday or Thursday session. You CANNOT play in a game without it.

Kids Soccer Clinic

The MCPS Soccer Program invites all children ages 6-13 for a one-day soccer clinic. Have a lot of fun while sharpening your skills in time for spring soccer! The camp is run by Coach Koch, Coach Aaron, and varsity players. The proceeds from this clinic will go to support the New Red Start Preparatory School Mission in Uganda.

The camp will be $50 per player. You can pre-register at www.wulfkochsocceracademy.com or pay on-site the day of the camp.

9:00-9:30 - Registration

9:30-11:30 - Session 1 (technical skills, small group matches)

11:30-1:00 - Lunch (not provided; please bring a packed lunch)

Our first Varsity home games are on Tuesday, December 3, so be sure to get your reserved seating for our First Hoop-Rah!

The MCPS Booster Club will be selling season packages of reserved seating in the stadium seat section of the PICE Knights Arena in the new gym. Your seat will be reserved for the entire season and includes all home Girls and Boys Middle School, JV, and Varsity basketball games in 2019.

As part of our mission to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ, we believe all students are called to be good stewards of their own time, talent, and treasure engaging in service as part of their educational growth. The Montgomery Catholic Preparatory School service hour requirement is intended for students to go beyond their current school and/or church obligations.

At our Middle School, students in seventh and eighth grades are required to attend one (1) service day organized by the school and made available for all middle school students. Of course, parents are always welcome! Each student is required to attend at least one of these service opportunities over the course of the school year. See page 43 in the Student Handbook.

We will participate in the  National Wreaths Across America Ceremony at the Alabama National Cemetery located in Montevallo, AL. There is a beautiful patriotic ceremony following by attendees placing evergreen wreaths on veterans' graves. We will stop to eat lunch before returning to campus.

Saturday, January 11, 2020 8:30-11:00 am:

We will help to remove the evergreen wreaths from veterans' graves from Wreaths Across America at the Brookside Memorial Gardens in Millbrook, AL.

Saturday, May 16, 2020 8:30-11:00 am:

We will help beautify our campus and set up for the graduation events scheduled for the following week.
