9am Contemporary Worship Service

11am Traditional Worship

We invite you to worship with us at one of our in-person worship services or through livestreaming at both our 9:00am contemporary service and our 11:00am traditional service at northwoodpc.org.

If you are new to Northwood, WELCOME! If you are interested in learning more about Northwood or wish to become a member, please visit our website or click on the "I'm New" link below to learn more about us and fill out the form and one of the pastors or staff members will get in touch with you.

If you are unable to participate in worship through livestreamimg or in person, remember the services can be found and enjoyed anytime in the "archives" under "watch livestream" on the church website. We say this especially because with the large number of churches now exclusively livestreamimg services, providers are struggling to handle the volume on Sunday's.

If you have technical difficulties viewing the online services please view in the church livestreaming archives the next day as that is working well. You can call the church office and ask for help you if you are having trouble viewing. We encourage you to ask for help!

Northwood Photo GroupJune 9

Give One Day a Week, Make a Lifetime of Difference

Too many of our county's elderly suffer from loneliness and poor nutrition. Be a part of the solution by delivering food and friendship to older adults in your neighborhood. You can join us by completing an application on the volunteer page at Neighborly.org. Neighborly Meals on Wheels volunteers deliver more than nutritious meals; they deliver the smiles and hope that improve lives. In one to two hours, at lunchtime, you'll deliver to between 5 and 10 elderly neighbors. At this time, we have needs for volunteers in Safety Harbor, Clearwater and critically in Pinellas Park and St. Petersburg. For more information, go to Neighborly.org and click the Volunteer button at the top. Northwood members can also contact John Sutphin (Mission and Outreach Committee) at email je.sutphin@gmail.com or call 913-687-9410.

  Blood Drive—THIS Sunday

THIS Sunday, June 7th from 9:30am-12:00pm the blood mobile will be located in the Northwood parking lot. All donors will receive a $20eGift card, a One Blood T-shirt and a wellness check up including blood pressure, temperature, iron count, pulse and cholesterol screening.

Be Aware of Email Scams

Some of our members and church staff have once again received fraudulent emails that appear to be from Pastor Chris. These email scams usually say that the pastor does not have time to talk by phone and wants to talk to you by email only. They always end up asking for you to discreetly purchase gift cards to assist the pastor in helping others.

Our pastors will never solicit you for gift cards and do NOT send these emails. Our pastors love to talk to you anytime but you do not need to call them to let them know you have received another suspicious email. The best way to deal with this is for you to block the sender and/or forward the email to the church office so that we can collect them for the police. It saddens us when anyone seeks to do harm and prey on the Christian kindness of our members. Be aware of such scams and do not respond to them!

Nursery

The Nursery is available for childcare during both the 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Worship Services. Our staff are screened and trained to provide safe, caring and entertaining supervision to your little ones while you attend Worship.

"Get ready to turn your next summer VBS into an unforgettable adventure with Snowball Mountain Challenge VBS 2026! This program invites kids to an exciting winter sports event, where they become Challengers, gearing up for frosty games, snowy surprises, and hands-on lessons about resilience and faith. Your kids will be guided daily by your energetic Activities Director and the lovable Ollie the Arctic Seal puppet, who is reporting on the events. Challengers aren’t just playing games; they learn to draw strength from their faith through powerful stories of courage and hope. With a unique winter theme and solid theology at its core, this VBS delivers joy and meaning in equal measure, teaching kids that “I can do all things through him who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13 NRSV).

VBS Donations Needed—FRESH FOOD ITEMS

Thank you to all who have or will donate items to the VBS non-perishable requests. Our church family is so generous.

Fresh Items:

In addition to dry goods and supplies, we are in need of lots of fresh fruits and vegetables (i.e., Oranges, Strawberries, Blueberries, Apples, Bananas, Watermelon, Grapes).

Not only do we love to have fun, healthy, and creative snacks for the children to enjoy…but we especially love to spoil our volunteers! Our camp is equipped with a dedicated mess hall just for them. Our volunteers love things like wrap/sandwich trays, veggie/fruit trays, chips and dips, brownies, cookies, cakes, bagels, hot dogs, meatballs, casseroles, 2 litre regular & diet sodas, juices, etc. We serve roughly 30-40 adults at camp per day, and on the last day over 75. Please help us in filling our bear-lockers so that everyone at camp is well-fed!

Grocery Donations can be dropped off during the week of June 15th in the Church Office (M-Th: 9am-3pm, F: 9am-12pm) or on Sunday, June 21st, in the Kitchen. Platters and other delights may also be brought in daily during VBS week (June 21st-26th, 9am-12pm) to the Kitchen.

Because of all of you and your kind generosity, Snowball Mountain challenge is going to be extraordinary!
