We invite you to worship with us at one of our in-person worship services or through livestreaming at both our 9:00am contemporary service and our 11:00am traditional service at northwoodpc.org.

If you are new to Northwood, WELCOME! If you are interested in learning more about Northwood or wish to become a member, please visit our website or click on the "I'm New" link below to learn more about us and fill out the form and one of the pastors or staff members will get in touch with you.

If you are unable to participate in worship through livestreamimg or in person, remember the services can be found and enjoyed anytime in the "archives" under "watch livestream" on the church website. We say this especially because with the large number of churches now exclusively livestreamimg services, providers are struggling to handle the volume on Sunday's.

If you have technical difficulties viewing the online services please view in the church livestreaming archives the next day as that is working well. You can call the church office and ask for help you if you are having trouble viewing. We encourage you to ask for help!

Tour the Northwood Campus—THIS SUNDAY

New to Northwood Presbyterian Church? Not sure where things are located? Haven’t found rooms 1, 2, or 3 yet? Wondering about the history of Northwood? You can find out. Meet Elder, Dee Rivers, in the gathering area outside the kitchen for a 20 minute tour of the building THIS SUNDAY, February 1st at noon, immediately after the 11:00am service.

     Scout Sunday, Celebrating 50 Years! —Feb. 8

Northwood Celebrates Scouting Programs in our Community! On Sunday, February 8th, Northwood invites all scouts, leaders and family members to both the 9:00am and 11:00am worship services for Scout Sunday. All Scouts are encouraged to come in full uniform. Northwood’s own Boy Scout Troop 413 will be offering a Pancake Breakfast on this Sunday after both services. Donations to the Troop are welcome. Make plans now to come hungry for warm pancakes, eggs and sausage! 

The Scouts are also collecting non-perishable food items to be delivered to a local food bank in our area. If you’d like to donate, please bring a food item with you to the Scout Sunday pancake breakfast.

Northwood Photo Group– February 10

Would you like to start taking better pictures, and use photography as a way of exploring God’s beauty? Please join us for the regular monthly meeting of the Northwood Photo Group on Tuesday.  Fun! Friends! Friday! The Ren Crew– Feb. 13

The Ren Crew Friday Fellowship will meet on Friday, February 13th at 10:30 in the sanctuary. We are a group of adventuresome, young at heart adults who enjoy sharing fun with friends, old and new. In keeping with the theme “Windows to the World,” Rollie Haugen will provide the program “Expedition to Patagonia & the Chilean Fjords”. Following the program, we will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. All are welcome! Transportation is gladly provided for those needing a ride. Join us and treat yourself to a Friday filled with fun and friends! Ash Wednesday—Feb. 18 at 6:30pm

There will be an Ash Wednesday worship service on Wednesday, February 18th at 6:30pm in the sanctuary. There is no meal on Ash Wednesday this year. The WAY dinners begin the following Wednesday, February 25th.

Ladies Game Night—February 20

Come and join the fun and fellowship at Northwood Presbyterian Church. Open to all ladies who enjoy playing board games in the company of others! No RSVP required. Kirkin’ o’ the Tartan—Feb. 22—ONE Worship Service

NPC Fellowship Groups-Spring Meals

Make new friends and keep the old! It’s time to sign up for our spring round of Fellowship meals of 6, 7 or 8. You can decide whether lunch or dinner, in home or at a restaurant during March, April, May and June. Responsibility to organize each gathering is rotated among the members of your group. Sing with Composer Joseph Martin

Composer Joseph Martin was at Northwood 10 years ago in 2016. He is coming back to work with our Chancel Choir and present a concert on Sunday, March 22nd. We need some extra voices to join us! You just need to be able to read music a little and come to rehearsals beginning Wednesday January 21st from 7:00-7:45pm.You will have so much fun learning the music and working with him. He is very funny and very spiritual at that same time and a master at the piano. Wonderful Wednesdays (WAY) Dinner & Study

February 25, March 4, 11 & 18

Come and get involved in the Wonderful Wednesday Dinners and Bible Study led by Pastor Chris beginning Wednesday, February 25h. Dinner will begin at 6:00pm in rooms 5-13 of the Christian Education Building with the Bible Study to follow at 6:40pm. Brochures and sign-up sheets will be published in the next few weeks. Wednesdays at Northwood are filled with fellowship and friends and would love to see you here!

Annual Report Booklets Available

If you did not receive an annual report booklet and you would like to have a copy, there are extras in the narthex and in the library.

Be Aware of Email Scams

Some of our members and church staff have once again received fraudulent emails that appear to be from Pastor Chris. These email scams usually say that the pastor does not have time to talk by phone and wants to talk to you by email only. They always end up asking for you to discreetly purchase gift cards to assist the pastor in helping others.

Our pastors will never solicit you for gift cards and do NOT send these emails. Our pastors love to talk to you anytime but you do not need to call them to let them know you have received another suspicious email. The best way to deal with this is for you to block the sender and/or forward the email to the church office so that we can collect them for the police. It saddens us when anyone seeks to do harm and prey on the Christian kindness of our members. Be aware of such scams and do not respond to them!

Nursery

The Nursery is available for childcare during both the 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Worship Services. Our staff are screened and trained to provide safe, caring and entertaining supervision to your little ones while you attend Worship.

Youth

Every Sunday morning, the youth, which includes middle school, high school and college age students, will meet for Sunday School at 10:00am in the youth room. Wednesday evening we have Youth Group that meets at 6:00pm in the youth room. Game night is every Friday evening from 7:00pm-10:00pm in the youth room/FLC. Fresh Brewed

Biblical TakeAways, led by Emily Sutphin & Earle Lusk

The adult Sunday School/Bible Study meets every Sunday morning at 10:00am in room 8. Bring your Bible. We have begun a 12 week study of the Psalms. All are welcome! Please join us!

Presbyterian Women, led by Patty Martin and Sue Miskiewicz

The Presbyterian Women's Sisters in Christ Circle will meet on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. Our next meeting will take place February 10th at 10:00am in rooms 5&7. We are studying "Finding Resilience, Joy, and Our Identity in Jesus Christ" by Rhashell D. Hunter.
