9am Contemporary Worship Service
11am Traditional Worship
| |
We invite you to worship with us at one of our in-person worship services or through livestreaming at both our 9:00am contemporary service and our 11:00am traditional service at northwoodpc.org.
If you are new to Northwood, WELCOME! If you are interested in learning more about Northwood or wish to become a member, please visit our website or click on the "I'm New" link below to learn more about us and fill out the form and one of the pastors or staff members will get in touch with you.
If you are unable to participate in worship through livestreamimg or in person, remember the services can be found and enjoyed anytime in the "archives" under "watch livestream" on the church website. We say this especially because with the large number of churches now exclusively livestreamimg services, providers are struggling to handle the volume on Sunday's.
If you have technical difficulties viewing the online services please view in the church livestreaming archives the next day as that is working well. You can call the church office and ask for help you if you are having trouble viewing. We encourage you to ask for help!

Wonderful Wednesdays (WAY) Dinner & Series
February 12, 19, 26 & March 5
Save the dates on your calendar! Come and get involved in the Wonderful Wednesday Dinners and Bible Study led by the pastors beginning Wednesday, February 12. The study is titled “The Images of Lent and Their Meanings For Our Lives”. Lent is an important period of study and worship in the Church throughout the world. It is a forty-day period in preparation for Easter. In addition, it is time over the centuries in which Christians are called to express deep sorrow and regret at having done something wrong. As we prepare during Lent to journey to Christ’s victory on the cross there are some images and symbols which are very helpful for us to study and reflect upon for living a life of faith in Jesus Christ. Join us in our WAY Bible Studies and Ash Wednesday as we explore a few of these meaningful symbols. Brochures are located in the hallway across from the kitchen. Wednesdays at Northwood are filled with fellowship and friends and would love to see you here! Note: The Ash Wednesday Service will take place at 6:45pm in the Sanctuary on March 5th so there will be NO study on this day.

Sing with Composer Craig Courtney–
Rehearsals Begin February 5th
On Sunday, March 30, church music composer Craig Courtney will be presenting a concert with our choir in the afternoon at 4:00pm and will be present in worship service that morning. Mr. Courtney's published works include more than two hundred choral octavos, nine vocal collections, a piano solo collection and six extended works for choir and orchestra. Compositionally, Mr. Courtney combines his training and background as a pianist, a cellist, a vocal coach, an accompanist and a choral director to create words that bear his unique style. We have 40 of his compositions and arrangements on our own shelves and greatly look forward to meeting him in person and delving into the stories behind his songs. Beginning Wednesday evening, February 5, the choir will start rehearsing his music in the first part of choir rehearsal, 7-7:40. We would love you to be a part of that and have a large choir for Craig Courtney to prepare. Please consider joining us and let me know – I will save you a spot!

You may be aware that some of our members, and even our church staff, have received scam emails, that appear to be from Pastor Chris and others by email. The emails scams of financial help often come in the request for you to purchase gift cards. Our pastors do NOT send these emails. This email scam is also happening to pastors in other churches across the nation at this point. Please know that your pastors and the church staff will never solicit any funds in this manner. Simply forward the message of such a request to the church office so that we can collect them for the police. It saddens us when anyone seeks to do harm but especially when they prey on the kindness and Christ-like hearts of our members. Be aware of scams by email and phone calls! | | | | |
