This Week at NPC

We invite you to worship with us at one of our in-person worship services or through livestreaming at both our 9:00am contemporary service and our 11:00am traditional service at

If you are new to Northwood, WELCOME! If you are interested in learning more about Northwood or wish to become a member, please visit our website or click on the "I'm New" link below to learn more about us and fill out the form and one of the pastors or staff members will get in touch with you.

If you are unable to participate in worship through livestreamimg or in person, remember the services can be found and enjoyed anytime in the "archives" under "watch livestream" on the church website. We say this especially because with the large number of churches now exclusively livestreamimg services, providers are struggling to handle the volume on Sunday's.

If you have technical difficulties viewing the online services please view in the church livestreaming archives the next day as that is working well. You can call the church office and ask for help you if you are having trouble viewing. We encourage you to ask for help!
In-Person 9am & 11am Worship THIS Sunday

Letter from the Pastor Regarding Mask Policy

Dear Church Members and Friends of Northwood,
Based on the new CDC guidelines announced last week our Commission on In-Person Worship recommended to the Northwood’s Session that masks are now optional for people who have been fully vaccinated. The Session has unanimously agreed. Please note that this decision means that masks are still required for those who are not vaccinated.
We know a lot of you will still feel more comfortable wearing a mask while in worship and you are welcome to continue to do so. However again based on the new CDC guidelines masks are now optional for people who have been vaccinated but still required for those who have not been. All our other guidelines and practices we use during worship, listed on the church website, which include social distancing, are still in place.
I look forward to worship with you this Sunday with both those joining us in-person and those continuing to worship through our live-streaming.
 Chris Curvin, Pastor
Garage Sale Update
WOW! Even with all the unusual circumstances surrounding this year’s Garage Sale, we were still extremely successful. Because of YOU and the outpouring from friends, neighbors and family members, we were able to exceed $13,000. What a blessing to the music program.
We are amazed and humbled by all the donations and hard work that went into the success of the sale. And now that 2021’s sale is in the history books, it’s time to look forward to our annual Garage Sale getting back on track – January 14 and 15, 2022.  So start saving your donations, large plastic bags and wire hangers (dry cleaner type) and the sale will be here before we know it. Thank You!!

Be Aware of Email Scams
You may be aware that some of our members, and even our church staff, have received scam emails, that appear to be from Pastor Chris and others by email. The emails scams of financial help often come in the request for you to purchase gift cards. Our pastors do NOT send these emails. This email scam is also happening to pastors in other churches across the nation at this point. Please know that your pastors and the church staff will never solicit any funds in this manner. Simply forward the message of such a request to the church office so that we can collect them for the police. It saddens us when anyone seeks to do harm but especially when they prey on the kindness and Christ-like hearts of our members. Be aware of scams by email and phone calls!
The Deacon’s Van Ministry for the 11:00AM traditional worship service will resume this Sunday, June 20th. This ministry is designed to provide transportation to and from the 11:00 service for those who live within a 5-mile radius of the church and can no longer drive, or find driving difficult. If you or someone you know who could benefit from this ministry, please call the church office to be placed on the list. The church office hours are Monday through Thursday from 9:00AM to 1:00PM. If you are interested in being a van driver, please contact Sue Miskiewicz at

Important Calendar Information

Many meetings have gone to an online platform. However, if your team/committee wishes to meet in person (with physical distance and masks), please check the church calendar online at to be sure your event/meeting is still listed. Many meeting spaces have been expanded to meet physical distance requirements and a room previously reserved might have been reassigned to a group that has made a new request for in person meeting space.
