We are very pleased to introduce and welcome Janice Montroy to the OLLI-UM team! She will begin her role as OLLI-UM Administrative Assistant on 7/05/2022. Please join us in welcoming Janice to OLLI-UM and the Michigan Medicine Geriatric Community Programs team!
Janice began her career as temporary staff in October 2013, and she was quickly hired by Michigan Medicine in February 2014, as an Inpatient Unit Clerk at Mott Hospital. Janice’s work in various roles was described as that of an air traffic controller, supporting the physicians, nurses, ancillary staff, and patient families. She enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
Janice made a 180-degree turn, after four years, from Pediatrics to Geriatrics, where she provided administrative support for the Geriatric Clinic Social Work team. Janice has two grown children, a son in Naples, and a daughter, who calls both Oregon and Sedona Arizona her home. Janice was raised in Redford and moved west to Plymouth and South Lyon. She also was a key figure in a family construction business servicing the fast-food industry beginning in 1983.
