NEW SIG for January!
Artificial Intelligence - 360
Today, Artificial Intelligence is omnipresent - having embedded itself within our daily lives via Siri, Alexa, Google translate, spam filters and security cameras.
The field is moving at a breathtaking pace, with near-weekly announcements of surprising breakthroughs and mind bending research - broadcast via blog posts, conference papers, web demos and media interviews. AI today is a global phenomenon. Fervent believers, defiant contrarians, radical experimenters and centrist thought leaders populate this new AI ecosystem.
So what is this new resurgent AI, really? And where is it taking us - in the near term, in the mid-term? What are the latest AI breakthroughs? The emerging ethical challenges? How may this new AI affect our lives? How may we respond?
These and numerous other insightful topics on AI will frame the content in “Artificial Intelligence - 360” - a new Shared Internet Group (SIG). The SIG will be designed to serve as a platform for robust discussion on various emerging and persisting AI topics.
The SIG agenda may be as follows;
⁃ The Promise of Benevolent AI
⁃ The Threats of Malevolent AI
⁃ The Ethics of AI
⁃ Breaking AI News
⁃ Breakthrough Research News
⁃ Deep Insights
⁃ Fun AI
The SIG will meet once a month. Each session will last 2 hours.
