By following Jesus and reaching out to others, we seek God's transformation of ourselves and our world.
Greetings!
As we move through our Lenten series on Spring Cleaning, I wonder.....what about our lives sparks joy in God's heart? What about our lives grieves God's heart? If we were to lay it all out before our Lord - what about our lives is worth keeping - what has out lived its usefulness - what is just taking up space? Are you ready to start Tidying Up?

See you Sunday!

Should you like to participate in a small group, click on the link below to sign up for a specific date.

Group size will be limited to 15 or less. Sessions will begin at 7pm in Room 215 (Cornerstone Room) on Thursday, March 21, and continue on subsequent Tuesdays and Thursdays until April 11.

Orders are due Sunday, March 17.

Please see any UMW member for more information. Thank you for your support!
Paint Nite
March 16th at 1-3pm
Please join the Pender UMW for a "paint nite" afternoon at Amphora in Herndon on March 16th at 1-3pm!
If you've never done one of these before, basically we all hang out at a restaurant and learn how to paint something pretty! All the supplies are provided, and the instructor walks you through everything step-by-step. Since it's a restaurant, you can also order food and drinks. This is a really fun, no-stress way to be creative, as well as hang out with some other ladies.
You have to pre-register, and we don't know how many slots are available (since this is a third party). If you are interested, please sign up below.
The cost is $27/person if you use the code "NEWYAY" at checkout.
The address is:

UMW Spring Prayer Breakfast
March 30th, 9am-11:30am

Come join the UMW at our Spring Prayer Breakfast, presented by Ronda Gilbert! The theme for this breakfast will focus on body image. This is a pervasive issue in our society - many have negative thoughts when it comes to their bodies. However, didn't God create humans in His image? If so, what does that mean about our bodies? Come delve into this issue with us to learn about a God-centered approach to self image and wellness.

This event is open to women and men, and even young adults from middle school age and up.

A food sign-up will be created closer to the event.
Spring Cleaning is Right Around the Corner!
The UMW will once again host a Spring Boutique so mark your calendar for the week of April 28 - May 4. Every piece of clothing, jewelry, kitchen item, linen, or toy out of your house not only cuts out your clutter, it is re-homed to a family that will use and cherish it.  Please set aside  only   spring and summer clothing  that is in new or like-new condition.  No rips, stains or obvious wear please.  This is what makes our Boutique so successful – the clothes are in great shape and you can’t beat the prices!  (We do  not  have the space for winter items – that’s what our fall boutique is for – box them up and we’ll take them later in the year.)

Donations will be accepted on Sunday afternoon, April 28 through Tuesday, April 30. More details to follow.
