The Session has called a Congregational Meeting on

November 17, 2024 following worship for the purpose of electing five ruling elders for the class of 2028. The Congregational Nominating Committee will nominate Mark Babineck, Steve Ballard, Terrie Cardwell, Fred Ellis, and Roger Mowell for those positions.

Grow in wisdom and give joyfully! Your pledge for the 2025 calendar year is important and helpful for the Session to develop the church’s budget. If you have not yet turned on your pledge card, please put it in the offering plate or return it to the church office to the attention of Alexis Graham.

It’s time to sign up for poinsettias to decorate our Sanctuary for Christmas. The cost is $12.00. You can sign up outside Fellowship Hall, November 17 through December 8. Or email or call Linda Aldred or Melissa Gravett. Please designate “In Honor Of” or “In Memory Of” when you order.

Mahjong!

Want to learn to play Mahjong? Already a seasoned player? Suzi Wolfe is beginning a Mahjong group in Room W-12 monthly on Thursday nights at 7:00pm. The group will start up on November 14. If you are interested, please click the button to email Suzi Wolfe or call Cindy in the church office.

Pines Youth may be small in numbers but we are mighty in heart. Here are some additional ways you can support us:

Sign up with Kristin or Marley to bring a homemade dish for the Thanksgiving community meal on November 17.
Financially sponsor the group efforts for hunger relief while fasting 30 hours and doing a retreat with educational and service projects. Click the button above to give.

Our Youth have listened to God's call and have started a monthly apartment ministry in a community adjacent to Sherwood Elementary. Tending to Grief is a non-professional support group for any stage of grief.

It is for all people of all faiths

over the age of 18.

The group meets Mondays 7:00 - 8:00pm in the Parlor

(except holidays). You may come as your schedule allows.
