The Angels and Christmas Tree Are Coming Soon!

Advent Devotional

Believe it or not Advent is around the corner, which means we will soon be producing our own Advent Devotional guide. This year’s theme is Gifts, and we need your story and your reflection on a verse of scripture to make this devotional come to life. If you’d like to write a brief devotional to be included in this year’s guide, please let Pastor Andy know, and he will help guide you to a scripture if needed. The deadline for submission is November 10th.

More Wreath-Making!

Help us make more Christmas wreaths for the MAM Resale Shop. We'll meet in the old library this week on Wednesday from 12:00-4:00pm and Thursday from 10:00am-2:00pm. More dates to come. Questions? Contact Margaret Schafer.

Beyond Resilience - Post Traumatic Growth

Please join the Stephen Ministers from 7:00-8:30pm on Thursday, October 23 in the Parlor. Our speaker, Joy Kreider is the founder of Deliberate Dialogues and a long-time friend of Pines. This event is open to all - invite friends and family.

Joy's topic is called "Beyond Resilience - Post Traumatic Growth". When we face traumatic experiences, resilience/recovery includes the ability to weather the storm and regain our footing emotionally, psychologically and behaviorally. But is there a next step? Can we move from recovery to new thoughts, feelings, beliefs and understanding? Yes, we can! It's called Post Traumatic Growth. Come learn more. RSVP to Ann Guerra.

Trunk or Treat is coming on Sunday October 26, from 4:00-5:30pm! We need your help to make it special! Volunteer to hand out candy from your car, run a yard game, pop popcorn or just be a welcoming face! Click the link below or contact Margaret Schafer to volunteer!

We also need candy! Bring a bag of candy anytime to the boxes in the narthex or front office.

Have a Little Miracle?

Building on last year's success, the Little Miracles program is back at Pines Preschool. This is a beautiful way for mothers and children in our Pines community to connect while being gently introduced to the rhythms of our preschool day. Each weekly 75-minute session includes activities such as: fine motor and gross motor play; music and movement; sensory experiences, and free play and social interaction. Click the buttons below to learn more and apply for the Fall program, which starts October 20.
