"Resisting Resistance - Rabbi Ingber's Sermon
Humanity is hard-wired to resist advice--even from ourselves. In this week's Torah portion, we see Pharoah, Moses and the Jewish people as perfect examples of this. In this sermon, Rabbi Ingber challenges us not to have a "Short Spirit," as Torah puts it, and to join the "Resistance Against Resistance" movement. He says we don't have the luxury to be impatient with the pace of change and must trust in the organic, natural growth that constitutes transformation, seeing things through, for the sake of ourselves, our community, and society at large.

A new program at Romemu about advance care planning as a Jewish process

What Matters is an important new program that seeks to help people engage in conversations about advance care planning for future healthcare crises and end-of-life decisions. With the help of trained facilitators from the Romemu community, individuals explore their own values and goals when it comes to making decisions about selecting a health care agent, and about the kind of medical and spiritual care you would want in the event of a medical crisis.
