Volunteers Requested: Christmas Tree Display Construction

Saturday and Sunday, 11/23 and 11/24

10:00 AM - 2:00 PM

The PTA is seeking assistance in preparing the parish Christmas tree display on the front lawn. No experience is required and children are welcome.

Annual Christmas Tree

Dedication and Blessing

As part of our parish's holiday display, the SCB PTA and the Simbang Gabi Committee invite you to sponsor a Christmas tree in honor of a loved one, a special memory, or any other personal intention.

A few trees are still available, and the deadline has been extended to Monday, 11/25/24. If you would like to reserve a tree, see the attached flyer for more details. Email PTAPres@scbpschool.com with any questions.

Half-Day Dismissal

November 25 - 27, 2024

All students Pre-K through 8th grade will have half day dismissal

Monday - Wednesday, 11/25-27/24.

Pre-K dismissal will be at 12:15 PM;

K-8 dismissal will be at 12:30 PM.

Afternoon CARES will be available on Monday and Tuesday, 12:30 - 6:00 PM.

There will be morning CARES only

(no afternoon CARES) on

Wednesday, 11/27/24.

K - 8 Parent-Teacher Conferences

November 25 & 26, 2024

On Monday, conferences will be held from

1:30 - 4 PM and 5:30 - 7:30 PM;

on Tuesday, conferences will be held from 1:30 - 5 PM. All conferences are held in

10-minutes intervals.

The Genesis Parent Portal reopens on Wednesday, 11/27/24, and report cards will be available. A hard copy of report cards will be sent home after Thanksgiving break.

Claire's Gourmet Pick-up

November 25, 2024

12:00 - 1:00 PM in McCusker Hall

The PTA will be distributing Claire's Gourmet and Joe Corbi's orders in McCusker Hall on Monday, 11/25/24.

If your child will be at afternoon CARES, orders can be held in the CARES building for pick-up there; please email PTAPres@scbpschool.com to make arrangements.

Thanksgiving Break

November 28 - December 1, 2024

There will be no school 11/28-12/1/24 for the Thanksgiving holiday.

During a time that is known for its great abundances - in food and family and friends - I pray that all of us will also know the abundance of God's loving presence this Thanksgiving!

Giving Tuesday

December 3, 2024

December 3, 2024 is #givingtuesday, which is a worldwide day of giving. Please consider donating to our St. Charles:

100% of your donations go directly back to our school. More details and a direct donation link will be distributed as we get closer to the date.

Advent Prayer Service

Cocoa with Santa

Friday, 12/6/24

6:00 - 8:30 PM

The PTA is hosting this yearly night of family fun including cocoa and treats, photos with Santa, crafts and activities, and featuring the parish tree display blessing and first lighting. Details can be found in the attached flyer.

Santa's Secret Shop: The PTA will be hosting this annual sale for our students the week of December 2, 2024. Details on the event can be found in this letter. The shopping schedule can be found here. If you would like to volunteer in the shop, email PTAPres@scbpschool.com (volunteers must have an active Diocesan badge for this opportunity).

Christmas Shows and Concert: We have a busy schedule this Christmas season for our Pre-K, K-2, and Band students. So that all the information is in one place, I'm providing a summary here. A separate email will go out this week to Pre-K parents with specific parking and optional early dismissal instructions.
