RESTORATIVE YOGA FOR YOUR HEALTH

Wednesday, September 28, 2022 5:30-7:00 pm

Lead by Margaret Jessop and Marian Krizman

In this workshop, you will learn the basic science of rest, experience gentle somatic movement and restorative yoga, and learn techniques to do home or to teach others.  We will work in pairs to practice the set up.

In a culture that places value on “doing”, a state of chronic stress leads to dis-ease.  Restorative yoga digests the stress hormones, leaving you more focused throughout the day and helps obtain overall health goals. The nervous system will be calmed, and tension built up in the connective tissue will be released.  With consistent practice, stress may be reduced, and a state of joy may be experienced in “being”.

Location: Sacred Waters Spiritual Center, 16990 Douglas Road, Mishawaka, IN 46545.

The Yoga studio sits in a lovely natural setting with a pond, waterfall, trees, creek and wildlife.  There is a noticeable mailbox at the top of the driveway on the south side of the street.  Head down a short road to the home of Sacred Waters. Please bring socks, a warm sweater, eye covering and any other personal props. Sacred Waters has yoga mats, blocks, bolsters, and blankets for use.

Cost is $25.

Email: Margaret Jessop at [email protected] OR Marian Krizman at [email protected] to reserve your spot.  Space is limited.

SACRED WATERS KIRTAN

Friday, October 7th at 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Join us for a candlelit Kirtan in honor of the return of Fall and the letting go of that which no longer serves us .Kirtan is a listening and interactive sound healing experience. Using call and response chanting withomi easy, repetitive melodies and joyous danceable rhythms, the songs are sung in the ancient languages of world religions. They set free the chattering mind, deepen the breath, and create a state of calm, where the eternal love that lies in each heart can unfold and open. All ages and faith traditions welcome. Bring a cushion for floor sitting or sit in our chairs. Love Donation. For more information see http://yogachant.org
